Engine coolant temperature gauge
Displays the engine coolant temperature

Displays the engine speed in revolutions per minute
Outside temperature
Displays the outside temperature within the range of -40°F (-40 °C) to 122 °F
(50 °C). Low outside temperature indicator comes on when the ambient temperature
is 37 °F (3 °C) or lower.
Clock
Time displayed is linked to the analog clock on the instrument panel. ( →P. 3 5 9 )
Speedometer
Displays the vehicle speed
Fuel gauge
Displays the quantity of fuel remaining in the tank
Multi-information display
Presents the driver with a variety of driving-related data ( →P. 1 0 0 )
Displays warning messages in case of a malfunction ( →P. 4 5 9 )
Odometer and trip meter display
Odometer:
Displays the total distance the vehicle has been driven
Tr i p m e t e r :
Displays the distance the vehicle has been driven since the meter was last reset. Trip
meters “A” and “B” can be used to record and display different distances indepen-
dently.
Maintenance required information:
• Displays the maintenance required informat ion when the engine switch is in IGNI-
TION ON mode.
• It can be reset from of the multi-information display. ( →P. 1 0 0 )
Shift position and shift range
Displays the selected shift position or selected shift range ( →P. 202)

■Outside temperature display
●In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not be displayed, or the
display may take longer than normal to change.
• When stopped, or driving at low speeds (less than 12 mph [20 km/h])
• When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/exit of a
garage, tunnel, etc.)
●When “--” or “E” is displayed, the system may be malfunctioning.
Take your vehicle to your Lexus dealer.
■Pop-up display
●In some situations, a pop-up display will be temporarily displayed on the multi-informa-
tion display or the odometer/trip meter/ maintenance required information screen.
●Some pop-up displays can be set on/off. ( →P. 5 7 1 )
■Liquid crystal display
Small spots or light spots may appear on the display. This phenomenon is characteristic
of liquid crystal displays, and there is no problem continuing to use the display.

The meter display can be customized on the multi-information display.

If the screen shown to the right is displayed
when trying to change the time display method
through (→P. 100) on the multi-infor-
mation display, the system may be malfunction-
ing.

dealer.
WA R N I N G
■The information display at low temperatures
Allow the interior of the vehicle to warm up before using the liquid crystal information
display. At extremely low temperatures, the information display monitor may respond
slowly, and display changes may be delayed.
For example, there is a lag between the driver’s shifting and the new gear number
appearing on the display. This lag could cause the driver to downshift again, causing
rapid and excessive engine braking and possibly an accident resulting in death or
injury.

The inflation pressure of the compact spare tire will not be displayed.

When trouble arises
Remove the plug.
Insert the tool and press it down
firmly while turning it counterclock-
wise until it stops.
■Manual operation of the parking brake
The parking brake cannot be set manually.

WA R N I N G
■When releasing the parking brake manually
●Shift the shift lever to P, turn the engine switch off and chock the tires. Failure to do so
may cause the vehicle to move, resulting in an accident.
●Turn the engine switch off and check that th e parking brake indicator is off. Failure to
do so may cause the system to operate and turn the inserted parking brake release
tool, resulting in an injury.

If the electronic key does not operate properly
■Doors
Use the mechanical key (
→P. 1 3 3 )
in order to perform the following
operations:
Locks all the doors
Closes the windows and moon
roof
* (turn and hold)
Unlocks the door
Turning the key rearward unlocks the
driver’s door. Turning the key once
again within 5 seconds unlocks the
other doors.
Opens the windows and moon roof* (turn and hold)
*: This setting must be customized at your Lexus dealer.
■Tr u n k
Turn the mechanical key clockwise
to open.
If communication between the electronic key and vehicle is interrupted
( → P. 152) or the electronic key cannot be used because the battery is
depleted, the smart access system with push-button start and wireless
remote control cannot be used. In such cases, the doors and trunk can be
opened and the engine can be started by following the procedure below.
