●When the smart access system with push-but ton start is off, the selecting door to
unlock cannot be customized.
●When the doors remain closed after unloc king the doors and the automatic door lock
function is activated, the signals will be generated in accordance with the operation
buzzers and the operation signal (emergency flashers) settings.
■When customizing using Remote Touch or Lexus Display Audio controller
Stop the vehicle in a safe place, apply the parking brake, and shift the shift lever to P. Also,
to prevent 12-volt battery discharge, leave the hybrid system operating while customiz-
ing the features.

■During customization
As the hybrid system needs to be operating during customization, ensure that the vehi-
cle is parked in a place with adequate vent ilation. In a closed area such as a garage,
exhaust gases including harmful carbon mo noxide (CO) may collect and enter the
vehicle. This may lead to death or a serious health hazard.

To prevent 12-volt battery discharge, ensure that the hybrid system is operating while
customizing features.

●Did you press the power switch while firmly depressing the brake pedal?

●Is the shift lever in P? ( P. 1 6 8 )
●Is the electronic key anywhere detectable inside the vehicle? ( P. 1 2 1 )
●Is the steering wheel unlocked? ( P. 1 6 9 )
●Is the electronic key battery weak or depleted?
In this case, the hybrid system can be started in a temporary way. ( P. 522)
●Is the 12-volt battery discharged? ( P. 5 2 3 )
●Is the power switch in ON mode?
If you cannot release the shift lever by depressing the brake pedal with the
power switch in ON mode ( P. 5 2 0 )
●It is locked automatically to prevent theft of the vehicle. ( P. 1 6 8 )
●Is the window lock switch pressed?
The power window except for the one at the driver’s seat cannot be operated
if the window lock switch is pressed. ( P. 1 4 5 )
If you think something is wrong
The hybrid system does not start
The shift lever cannot be shifted from P even if you depress the brake
pedal
The steering wheel cannot be turned after the hybrid system is stopped
The windows do not open or close by operating the power window
switches

SORY or ON mode (the hybrid system is not operating) for a period of time.

Are the driver and the front passenger wearing the seat belts? ( P. 500)
●The parking brake indicator is on
Is the parking brake released? ( P. 1 7 7 )
Depending on the situation, other type s of warning buzzer may also sound.

●Did anyone inside the vehicle open a door during setting the alarm?
The sensor detects it and the alarm sounds. ( P. 7 8 )
To stop the alarm, turn the power switch to ON mode or start the hybrid system.
●Is the electronic key left inside the vehicle or the moon roof opened?
Check the message on the multi-information display. ( P. 505)
