R (Reverse)
Use this position to drive the vehicle
backward.
N (Neutral)
The wheels and transaxle are not
engaged. The vehicle will roll freely even
on the slightest incline unless the parking
brake or service brakes are applied. - Parking in N (Neutral) gear
Follow below steps when parking and
you want the vehicle to move whenpushed.
1. After parking your vehicle, step on the
brake pedal and move the shift lever to
“P” with the ignition button in “ON” or
while the engine is running.
2. If the parking brake is applied unlock the parking brake.
3. While pressing the brake pedal, turn the ignition button “OFF”.
- For smart key equipped vehicles, theignition switch can be moved to “OFF”
only when the shift lever is in “P”.
4. Change the gear shift lever to “N” (Neutral) while pressing the brake
pedal and pushing “SHIFT LOCK
RELEASE” button or inserting, press-
ing down a tool (e.g. flathead screw-
driver) into the “SHIFT LOCK
RELEASE” access hole at the same
time. Then, the vehicle will move when
external force is applied. D (Drive)
This is the normal forward driving posi-
tion. The transaxle will automatically shift
through a 6-gear sequence, providing the
best fuel economy and power.
For extra power when passing another
vehicle or climbing grades, depress the
accelerator fully, at which time the
transaxle will automatically downshift to
the next lower gear.

Always come to a complete stop before
shifting into D (Drive).

With the exception of parking in

Before parking in “N” (Neutral) gear, first make sure the parkingground is level and flat. Do notpark in “N”gear on any slopes or gradients.
If parked and left in “N”, the vehi-cle may move and cause serious damage and injury.

ROAD WARNING
Hazard warning flasher
The hazard warning flasher serves as a
warning to other drivers to exercise
extreme caution when approaching,
overtaking, or passing your vehicle. It should be used whenever emergency
repairs are being made or when the vehi-cle is stopped near the edge of a road-
way.
Depress the flasher switch with the igni-
tion switch in any position. The flasher
switch is located in the center console
switch panel. All turn signal lights will
flash simultaneously.
• The hazard warning flasher operates
whether your vehicle is running or not.
The turn signals do not work when the hazard flasher is on.
Care must be taken when using the hazard warning flasher while the vehi-
cle is being towed. If the engine stalls at a crossroad
or crossing If the engine stalls at a crossroad or
crossing, set the shift lever in the N
(Neutral) position and then push the vehi-
cle to a safe place.
If you have a flat tire while driving
If a tire goes flat while you are driving:
1. Take your foot off the accelerator pedal
and let the vehicle slow down while
driving straight ahead. Do not apply the
brakes immediately or attempt to pull
off the road as this may cause a loss of
control. When the vehicle has slowed
down to such a speed that it is safe to
do so, brake carefully and pull off the
road. Drive off the road as far as possi-
ble and park on a firm level ground. If
you are on a divided highway, do not
park in the median area between the
two traffic lanes.

IF YOU HAVE A FLAT TIRE (WITH TIREMOBILITYKIT, IF EQUIPPED)
Please read the instructions before
using the TireMobilityKit. (1) Compressor(2) Sealant bottle Introduction
With the TireMobilityKit you stay mobile
even after experiencing a tire puncture. The system of compressor and seal-
ing compound effectively and comfort-
ably seals most punctures in a pas-
senger car tire caused by nails or sim-
ilar objects and reinflates the tire.
After you ensured that the tire is prop-
erly sealed you can drive cautiouslyon the tire (up to 200 km (120 miles))
at a max. speed of 80 km/h (50 mph)
in order to reach a vehicle or tire deal-
er to have the tire replaced.
It is possible that some tires, especiallywith larger punctures or damage to the
sidewall, cannot be sealed completely.
Air pressure loss in the tire may
adversely affect tire performance.
For this reason, you should avoid
abrupt steering or other driving
maneuvers, especially if the vehicle is
heavily loaded or if a trailer is in use.
The TireMobilityKit is not designed or
intended as a permanent tire repair
method and is to be used for one tire
only.
This instruction shows you step by
step how to temporarily seal the
puncture simply and reliably.
Read the section "Notes on the safe
use of the TireMobilityKit".

Using the TireMobilityKit
1. Filling the sealant
Strictly follow the specified sequence,
otherwise the sealant may escape
under high pressure.
1) Shake the sealant bottle.
2) Connect the filling hose 2 onto theconnector of the sealant bottle (A).
3) Ensure that button 6 on the com- pressor is not pressed.
4) Unscrew the valve cap from the valve of the defective wheel and
screw filling hose 2 of the sealant
bottle onto the valve.
5) Insert the sealant bottle into the housing of the compressor so that
the bottle is upright (B). 6) Ensure that the compressor is
switched off, position 0.
7) Connect between compressor and the vehicle power outlet using
the cable and connectors.
✽✽NOTICE
Only use the front passenger side
power outlet.
8) With the ignition switched on: Switch on the compressor and let it
run for approximately 3 minutes to fill
the sealant. The inflation pressure of
the tire after filling is unimportant. 9) Switch off the compressor. 10)
Detach the hose from the sealant bottle connector and
from the tire valve.
Return the TireMobilityKit to its stor-
age location in the vehicle.
WARNING
Carbon monoxide poisoning
and suffocation is possible if the
engine is left running in a poorly
ventilated or unventilated loca-
tion (such as inside a building).

Distributing the sealant
Immediately drive approximately 3 km
(2 miles) to evenly distribute the
sealant in the tire. Producing the tire inflation pres- sure
1) After driving approximately 3 km (2
miles), stop at a suitable location.
2) Connect the filling hose 2 of the compressor (clip mounted side) directly and then connect the fillinghose 2 (opposite side) to the tire
valve.
3) Connect between compressor and the vehicle power outlet using the
cable and connectors.
4) Adjust the tire inflation pressure to 220 kPa (32 psi). With the ignition
switched on, proceed as follows.
- To increase the inflation pres- sure: Switch on the compressor,
position I. To check the current
inflation pressure setting, briefly
switch off the compressor. - To reduce the inflation pres-
sure: Press the button 8 on the
compressor.
WARNING
Do not let the compressor run for
more than 10 minutes, otherwise
the device will overheat and may
be damaged.
WARNING
The tire inflation pressure must
be at least 200 kPa (29 psi). If it is
not, do not continue driving. Call
for road side service or towing.
CAUTION
Do not exceed a speed of 80 km/h (50 mph). If possible, donot fall below a speed of 20 km/h (12 mph).
While driving, if you experienceany unusual vibration, ride dis-turbance or noise, reduce yourspeed and drive with caution until you can safely pull off ofthe side of the road.
Call for road side service or tow-ing.
CAUTION
If the inflation pressure is notmaintained, drive the vehicle asecond time, refer to Distributing the sealant. Then repeat steps 1to 4.
Use of the TireMobilityKit maybe ineffectual for tire damagelarger than approximately 4 mm (0.16 in).
We recommend that you contactthe nearest Kia A/S center, or aworkshop that works accordingto Kia repair procedures with correspondingly trained per-sonnel if the tire cannot bemade roadworthy with the TireMobilityKit.

Notes on the safe use of the TireMobilityKit
Park your car at the side of theroad so that you can work with the
TireMobilityKit away from moving
traffic. Place your warning triangle
in a prominent place to make pass-
ing vehicles aware of your location.
To be sure your vehicle won't move, even when you're on fairly
level ground, always set your park-
ing brake.
Only use the TireMobilityKit for sealing/inflation passenger car
tires. Do not use on motorcycles,
bicycles or any other type of tires.
Do not remove any foreign objects- such as nails or screws -that have
penetrated the tire.
Before using the TireMobilityKit, read the precautionary advice
printed on the sealant bottle!
Provided the car is outdoors, leave the engine running. Otherwise
operating the compressor may
eventually drain the car battery. Never leave the TireMobilityKit
unattended while it is being used.
Do not leave the compressor run- ning for more than 10 min. at a time
or it may overheat.
Do not use the TireMobilityKit if the ambient temperature is below -30°C(-22°F).
Do not use the sealing compound after its expiration date which can
be found on the label of the bottle.

Always check the TPMS malfunction telltale after replacing one or more
tires or wheels on your vehicle toensure that the replacement or alter-
nate tires and wheels allow the TPMS
to continue to function properly.
✽✽NOTICE
If any of the below happens, we rec-
ommend that the system be checked
by an authorized Kia dealer.
1.The low tire pressure telltale/ TPMS malfunction indicator do
not illuminate for 3 seconds when
the ignition switch is turned to the
ON position or engine is running.
2. The TPMS malfunction indicator remains illuminated after blinking
for approximately 1 minute.
3. The Low tire pressure position telltale remains illuminated.

When the tire pressure monitoring
system warning indicators are illumi-
nated one or more of your tires is sig-
nificantly under-inflated. The low tirepressure position telltale light willindicate which tire is significantly
under-inflated by illuminating the cor-responding position light.
If either telltale illuminates, immediate-
ly reduce your speed, avoid hard cor-
nering and anticipate increased stop-
ping distances. You should stop and
check your tires as soon as possible. Inflate the tires to the proper pres-
sure as indicated on the vehicle’splacard or tire inflation pressure label
located on the driver’s side center pil-lar outer panel.
If you cannot reach a service station
or if the tire cannot hold the newly
added air, replace the low pressure
tire with a spare tire. After you replace the low pressure
tire with the spare tire, one of the fol-
lowing will happen:
The TPMS malfunction indicator
may blink for approximately 1
minute and then remain continuous-
ly illuminated because the TPMSsensor is not mounted on the spare
wheel. (changed tire equipped with
a sensor not in the vehicle)
The TPMS malfunction indicator will remain continuously illuminated
