Metric Speed (km/h)
• Pushing the SET+button once will result in a 1 km/h increase in set speed. Each
subsequent tap of the button results in an increase of 1 km/h.
• If the button is continually pushed, the set speed will continue to increase until the button is released, then the new set speed will be established.
To Decrease Speed
• When the Electronic Speed Control is set, you can decrease speed by pushing the SET -button.
The drivers preferred units can be selected through the instrument panel settings if
equipped. Refer to “Understanding Your Instrument Panel” in the Owner’s Manual
on the DVD for more information. The speed decrement shown is dependant on the
speed of U.S. (mph) or Metric (km/h) units:
U.S. Speed (mph)
• Pushing the SET -button once will result in a 1 mph decrease in set speed. Each
subsequent tap of the button results in a decrease of 1 mph.
• If the button is continually pushed, the set speed will continue to decrease until the button is released, then the new set speed will be established.
Metric Speed (km/h)
• Pushing the SET -button once will result in a 1 km/h decrease in set speed. Each
subsequent tap of the button results in a decrease of 1 km/h.
• If the button is continually pushed, the set speed will continue to decrease until the button is released, then the new set speed will be established.
Resume
To resume a previously selected set speed in memory, push the RES button and
release.

Metric Speed (km/h)
• Pushing the SET+button once will result in a 1 km/h increase in set speed. Each
subsequent tap of the button results in an increase of 1 km/h.
•
If the button is continually pushed, the set speed will continue to increase in 10 km/h
increments until the button is released. The increase in set speed is reflected in the
EVIC/DID.
To Decrease Speed
While ACC is set, the set speed can be decreased by pushing the SET -button.
The drivers preferred units can be selected through the instrument panel settings if
equipped. Refer to “Understanding Your Instrument Panel” in the Owner’s Manual
on the DVD for more information. The speed increment shown is dependant on the
speed of U.S. (mph) or Metric (km/h) units:
U.S. Speed (mph)
• Pushing the SET -button once will result in a 1 mph decrease in set speed. Each
subsequent tap of the button results in a decrease of 1 mph.
• If the button is continually pushed, the set speed will continue to decrease in 5 mph decrements until the button is released. The decrease in set speed is
reflected in the EVIC/DID.
Metric Speed (km/h)
• Pushing the SET -button once will result in a 1 km/h decrease in set speed. Each
subsequent tap of the button results in a decrease of 1 km/h.
•
If the button is continually pushed, the set speed will continue to decrease in 10 km/h
decrements until the button is released. The decrease in set speed is reflected in the
EVIC/DID.
NOTE:
• When you override and push the SET +button or SET -buttons, the new Set Speed
will be the current speed of the vehicle.
• When you use the SET -button to decelerate, if the engine’s braking power does
not slow the vehicle sufficiently to reach the set speed, the brake system will
automatically slow the vehicle.
• The ACC system applies the brake down to a full stop when following a target vehicle. If an ACC host vehicle follows a target vehicle to a standstill, the host
vehicle will release the vehicle brakes two seconds after coming to a full stop.
• The ACC system maintains set speed when driving up hill and down hill. However, a slight speed change on moderate hills is normal. In addition, downshifting may
occur while climbing uphill or descending downhill. This is normal operation and
necessary to maintain set speed. When driving up hill and down hill, the ACC
system will cancel if the braking temperature exceeds normal range (overheated).

ParkSense Active Park Assist
The ParkSense Active Park Assist system can be enabled and disabled with the ParkSense
Active Park Assist switch, located on the switch panel below the Uconnect display.
The ParkSense Active Park Assist system
is intended to assist the driver during
parallel and perpendicular parking ma-
neuvers by identifying a proper parking
space, providing audible/visual instruc-
tions, and controlling the steering wheel.
The ParkSense Active Park Assist system
is defined as “semi-automatic” since the
driver maintains control of the accelerator,
shift lever and brakes. Depending on the
driver’s parking maneuver selection, the
ParkSense Active Park Assist system is
capable of maneuvering a vehicle into a
parallel or a perpendicular parking space
on either side (i.e., driver side or passen-
ger side).
Refer to your Owner's Manual on the DVD for further details.
CAUTION!
• ParkSense is only a parking aid and it is unable to recognize every obstacle, including small obstacles. Parking curbs might be temporarily detected or not
detected at all. Obstacles located above or below the sensors will not be
detected when they are in close proximity.
• The vehicle must be driven slowly when using ParkSense in order to be able to stop in time when an obstacle is detected. It is recommended that the driver
looks over his/her shoulder when using ParkSense.
WARNING!
• Drivers must be careful when backing up even when using ParkSense. Always
check carefully behind your vehicle, look behind you, and be sure to check for
pedestrians, animals, other vehicles, obstructions, and blind spots before
backing up. You are responsible for safety and must continue to pay attention
to your surroundings. Failure to do so can result in serious injury or death.
• Before using ParkSense, it is strongly recommended that the ball mount and
hitch ball assembly is disconnected from the vehicle when the vehicle is not
used for towing. Failure to do so can result in injury or damage to vehicles or
obstacles because the hitch ball will be much closer to the obstacle than the
rear fascia when the loudspeaker sounds the continuous tone. Also, the sensors
could detect the ball mount and hitch ball assembly, depending on its size and
shape, giving a false indication that an obstacle is behind the vehicle.

If the ABS light is on, the brake system should be serviced as soon as possible to restore
the benefits of Anti-Lock brakes. If the ABS light does not turn on when the ignition
switch is turned to the ON/RUN position, have the light inspected by an authorized
dealer.
- Air Bag Warning Light
This light will turn on for four to eight seconds as a bulb check when the ignition switch
is first turned to the ON/RUN position. If the light is either not on during starting, stays
on, or turns on while driving, have the system inspected at an authorized dealer as soon
as possible. Refer to “Occupant Restraints” in “Things To Know Before Starting Your
Vehicle” in your Owner’s Manual on the DVD for further information.
NOTE:
The Air Bag System is designed to be maintenance free.
- Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) Light
This light informs you of a problem with the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system.
If a problem is detected, the light will come on while the engine is running. Cycle the
ignition key when the vehicle has completely stopped and the shift lever/gear selector
is placed in the PARK position; the light should turn off.
If the light remains lit with the engine running, your vehicle will usually be drivable.
However, see an authorized service center immediately. If the light is flashing when
the engine is running, immediate service is required and you may experience reduced
performance, an elevated/rough idle or engine stall and your vehicle may require
towing.
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Light
Each tire, including the spare (if provided), should be checked monthly, when cold
and inflated to the inflation pressure recommended by the vehicle manufacturer on
the vehicle placard or tire inflation pressure label. (If your vehicle has tires of a
different size than the size indicated on the vehicle placard or tire inflation pressure
label, you should determine the proper tire inflation pressure for those tires.)
As an added safety feature, your vehicle has been equipped with a Tire Pressure
Monitoring System (TPMS) which display in the Electronic Vehicle Information
Center (EVIC) or Driver Information Display (DID) when one or more of your tires is
significantly under-inflated. Accordingly, when the low tire pressure EVIC or DID
display illuminates, you should stop and check your tires as soon as possible, and
inflate them to the proper pressure. Driving on a significantly under-inflated tire
causes the tire to overheat and can lead to tire failure. Under-inflation also reduces
fuel efficiency and tire tread life, and may affect the vehicle’s handling and stopping
ability.
