LIGHTS
MULTIFUNCTION LEVER
The multifunction lever, located on the left side of the steering wheel, controls the opera-
tion of the headlights, headlight beam selection, passing light and turn signals.
NOTE:
The headlights can only be turned on with the ignition in the ON/RUN position.
Headlights
Rotate the end of the multifunction lever
upward to the first detent for headlight
operation.
NOTE:
When the headlights are turned on, the
Daytime Running Lights will be deactivated.
High Beams
With the low beams activated, push the
multifunction lever towards the instrument
panel to turn on the high beams.Pull the
multifunction lever toward the steering
wheel to turn off the high beams.
Flash-To-Pass
You can signal another vehicle with your headlights by partially pulling the multifunction
lever toward the steering wheel.This will cause the high beam headlights to turn on until
the lever is released.
Parking Lights
To turn on the parking lights, remove the key or turn the ignition to OFF/LOCK position
and turn on the headlights.
Daytime Running Lights
To activate the Daytime Running Lights (DRL), rotate the end of the multifunction lever
to theOsymbol.
NOTE:
The low beams and side/taillights will not be on with DRL.
If allowed by law in the country in which the vehicle was purchased the DRL function
can be turned on or off using the display menus.Refer to “UConnect settings” in “Under-
standing Your Instrument Panel” in your Owner’s Manual on the DVD for further infor-
mation.

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER INDICATOR LIGHTS
– Turn Signal Indicator
The arrows will flash with the exterior turn signals when the turn signal lever is oper-
ated.
NOTE:
If either indicator flashes at a rapid rate, check for a defective outside light bulb.
– High Beam Indicator
Indicates that headlights are on high beam.
– Vehicle Security Light
This light will flash rapidly for approximately 15 seconds when the vehicle security alarm
is arming.The light will flash at a slower speed continuously after the alarm is set.The
security light will also come on for about three seconds when the ignition is first turned
on.
– Electronic Speed Control SET Indicator
This indicator will illuminate when the cruising speed has been set.
– Front Fog Light Indicator
This indicator will illuminate when the front fog lights are on.
– Park/Headlight ON Indicator
This indicator will illuminate when the park lights or headlights are turned on.
– Electronic Stability Control (ESC) OFF Indicator Light
This light indicates the ESC system has been turned off by the driver.

FUSES
WARNING!
•When replacing a blown fuse, always use an appropriate replacement fuse with
the same amp rating as the original fuse.Never replace a fuse with another fuse
of higher amp rating.Never replace a blown fuse with metal wires or any other
material.Failure to use proper fuses may result in serious personal injury, fire
and/or property damage.
•Before replacing a fuse, make sure that the ignition is off and that all the other
services are switched off and/or disengaged.
•If the replaced fuse blows again, contact an authorized dealer.
•If a general protection fuse for safety systems (air bag system, braking system),
power unit systems (engine system, gearbox system) or steering system blows,
contact an authorized dealer.
Interior Fuses
The interior fuse panel is part of the Body Control Module (BCM) and is located on the
driver's side under the instrument panel.

The Power Distribution Center #1 is located on the right side of the underhood com-
partment.To access the fuses, remove locking screw and slide cover off.
