Brake disc wearParking brake
If excessive travel or a loss of e
ffectiveness of this system is

oticed, the parking brake must be

hecked, even between two services.
Unless
there
is
a
leak
in
the
circuit,
a
drop
in
t
he
brake
fluid
level
indicates
that
the
brake
p
ads
are
worn. Checking
this system must be done by a
C
ITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
After
washing
the
vehicle,
dampness,
o
r
in
wintry
conditions,
ice
can
form
o
n
the
brake
discs
and
pads:
braking
e
fficiency
may
be
reduced.

defrost

brakes.

Emergency or assistance call
If an impact is detected by the airbag control unit, and independently of

he deployment of any airbags, an

mergency call is made automatically.

In an emergency, press this button for more than 2 seconds.

The

This

is
dealt with by the "Localised

Call" centre, which receives

In countries in which a centre is not
operational,
or when the locating service

been
expressly declined, the call is dealt

ith
directly

Operation of the system
When the ignition is switched on, t he green indicator lamp comes

n for 3 seconds indicating that

he system is operating correctly.

orange
indicator lamp is on fixed: the back-

battery
should be replaced.
In
both
cases,
the emergency and assistance
c
alls
service
may not work.
Contact
a
qualified repairer as soon as
p
ossible. The
orange indicator lamp
f
lashes then goes off: the system
h
as a fault.
