Following disconnection of the vehicle battery, replacement   of   the   remote   control   battery   or

n   the   event   of   a   remote   control   malfunction,

ou   can   no   longer   unlock,   lock   or   locate   your  
v

ehicle.

irst   of   all,   use   the   key   in   the   lock   to   unlock  
o

r   lock   your   vehicle.
F
 
T
hen,   reinitialise   the   remote   control.
If
  the   problem   persists,   contact   a   CITROËN  
d

ealer   as   soon   as   possible.
Remote control problem
Reinitialisation
F Switch  off   the   ignition.
F  T urn   the   key   to   position   2 (Ignition).

ress   the   closed   padlock   immediately   for   a  
f

ew   seconds.

witch   off   the   ignition   and   remove   the   key  
f

rom   the   ignition   switch.
The
  remote   control   is   fully   operational   again.
Changing the battery
Battery ref.: CR1620 / 3 volts.F  U nclip   the   casing   by   inserting   a   coin   at   the

otch   and   rotating.

lide   the   flat   battery   out   of   its   location.

lide   the   new   battery   into   its   location

bserving   the   original   direction.

lip   the   casing   in   place,   then   the   chrome

If the battery is flat, you are

elease   the   chrome   finisher   by   pressing   on

aintain   pressure   on   lug   A   and   remove   the

hrome   finisher   by   sliding   it   off   at   45°.

F Remove   the   black   cap,   on   the   edge   of   the  d
oor,   using   the   key.

F Pull  the   interior   door   opening   control.

Electronic engine immobiliser
The key contains an electronic chip which has a  special   code.   When   the   ignition   is   switched  
o

n,   this   code   must   be   recognised   in   order   for  
s

tarting   to   be   possible.
This
  electronic   engine   immobiliser   locks   the  
e

ngine   management   system   a   few   moments  
a

fter   the   ignition   is   switched   off   and   prevents  
s

tarting   of   the   engine   by   anyone   who   does   not  
h

ave   the   key.In the event of a fault, you are
informed
  by   illumination   of   this  
w

arning   lamp,   an   audible   signal   and  
a

  message   in   the   screen.It

12 mph (20 km/h), when you put the gear
lever into neutral, and you release the
clutch pedal.

- with a 5 or 6-speed electronic gearbox

when stationary or at speeds below 5 mph
(8 km/h) (depending on version), when
you press the brake pedal or put the gear
selector in position N
.

- with an automatic gearbox
, vehicle
stationary, when you press the brake pedal
or you place the gear selector in position N
. A time counter calculates the sum
of the periods in STOP mode
during a journey. It rests itself
to zero every time the ignition is
switched on with the key. STOP mode is not invoked when:


- the driver's door is open,

- the driver's seat belt is not fastened,

- the vehicle has not exceeded 6 mph
(10 km/h) since the last engine start using
the key,

- the engine is needed to maintain a
comfortable temperature in the passenger
compartment,

- demisting is active,

- some special conditions (battery charge,
engine temperature, braking assistance,
ambient temperature...) where the engine is
needed to assure control of a system.

In the event of a fault in STOP mode, the
vehicle may stall. All of the instrument panel
warning lamps come on. It is then necessary
