Day/night map
Day/Night : the map is displayed with a light/
dark background .
Automatic: when the lights switch on, the map
colors switch from day to night.

Map orientation
Navigation
Destination: the map ind icates the destina tion
and is or iented to the north.
2D -heading up/2D north position map: the
curre nt vehicle position is displayed. The map is
oriented in the direction of travel or to the north.
3D
position map: when this functio n is sw itch ed
on, the cur rent vehicle position is show n on a
three-dim ensiona l map and oriente d in the d ir e c
tion of travel. At a sca le of 62 m iles (100 km ) and
larger, t he map is or iented to the north.
Overview : the entire route from the vehicle posi
ti on to the destination or the nex t stopover is dis
played on
the map. The map scale depends on
the length of the route and adapts automatically.
The

Route information
The display of route information such as the cur
rent road being driven on, upcoming maneuvers,
traffic information
or points of interest along the

oute can be switched on/off.
Auto zoom
On: the map scale is adapted automatically de

Spare tire
General information
Applies to: vehicles with space-saving spare tire (compact
spare tire)

Emergency assistance
Snow chains
For technical reasons, the use of snow chains on
the compact spare tire is not permitted.
If you have to drive with snow chains and a front
tire fails, mount the spare wheel in place of a
rear tire. Install the snow chains on the rear tire
that you removed, and install that in place of the
front tire that failed.

The spare tire is intended for short-term use on
ly. Have the damaged tire checked and replaced if
necessary by
an authorized Audi dealer or author-
ized Audi Service Facility as soon as possible.
There
are some restrictions on the use of the
compact spare tire. The compact spare tire has
been designed specifically for your type of vehi
cle.
Do not replace it with the spare tire from an
other type of vehicle.
Removing the spare tire
•Turn the handle c> fig. 207@ counter-clock
wise.
•Remove the spare tire.
Removing the vehicle jack
• Lift up the cover on the right side of the lug
gage compartment and remove the vehicle
jack. -
The
spare tire is intended only for tempora
ry and short-term use. It should be replaced
as soon as possible with the normal wheel
and tire.
- After
mounting the compact spare tire, the
tire pressure must be checked as soon as
possible. The tire pressure of the compact
spare tire must be 61 psi (420 kPA); other
wise, you risk having an accident.
-
Do not drive faster than SO mph (80 km/h).
You risk having an accident.
-Avoid full-throttle acceleration, heavy brak
ing, and
fast cornering . You risk having an
accident.
- Never drive using
more than one spare
wheel and tire. You risk having an accident.
- Normal
summer or winter tires must not be
mounted on the compact spare wheel rim.
- For
technical reasons, the use of tire chains
on
the spare tire is not permitted. If it is
necessary
to drive with tire chains, the spare
wheel must be mounted on the front axle in
the event of a flat in a rear tire. The newly
available
front wheel must then be installed
in place of the rear wheel with the flat tire.
Installing
the tire chain before mounting
the wheel and tire is recommended .
- Loose
items in the passenger compartment
can cause serious personal injury during
