- When locking the vehicle from outside, the
ve hicle must be unoccup ied si nce the win­
dows can no longe r be o pened in an emer­
gency.
@ Tips
A fter tu rning the ignition off you can st ill
open and close the windows for approximate­
ly 10 seconds. The power windows are not
sw itched off unti l the drive r's doo r or front
passe nger 's doo r has been opened.
Convenience opening /closing
Wi th the convenience ope ning/closing func tion,
yo u ca n cen tral ly and easily open the windows
and the panorama sun roof * from the outs ide.

and roof * functions must be switched on.
A WARNING
-Never close the windows or panorama sun­
roof* careless ly or in an uncontrolled man­
ner, because this increases the risk of injury .
- For security reasons, the windows can only
be opened with the remote control key at a
maximum d istance of approximately 6 feet
(2 mete rs) from the vehicle.
- Pay attention when using the lock cylinder
to close the windows and the panorama
s u nroof* so that no one is pinched. Closing
stops when the key is moved into the start­
ing position .
Correcting power window malfunctions
-
After disconnecting the vehicle battery, the one­
touch up and down feature must be activated
again.
.. Pull the power window sw itch until the w indow
is comp letely raised.
... Release the sw itch and pull it agai n for at least
one second.
Panorama roof

The button has two stages . In the second stage,
the roof automatically runs to the end position
(open/closed) when the button is operated brief­
ly. The movement can be stopped by pressing the
button.
@ Tilting and sliding
.. To tilt the sunroof completely, press the switch
briefly to the second level.
.. To close the roof completely, pull the button
down briefly to the second level or s lide the
button forward briefly to the second level

A wind def lector integrated in the panorama sun­
roof adapts automatically to the sunroof posi­
tion. Th is reduces wind noise to a minimum in all
panorama s unroof positions.
You can sti ll operate the panorama sunroof for
about 10 minutes after the ignit ion is switched
off. The switch is deactivated once the driver's or
front passenger's door is opened.
Sun blind
The sun shade can be opened and closed manual­
l y, depending on the position of the panorama
sunroof. The sun s hade can be opened partially.
A WARNING
Be caref ul when closing the panoramic sun­
roof - otherwise serious injury could result! Al­
ways take the ignition key with you when leav-

A WARNING
For safety reasons, the windshield wiper
blades should be replaced once or tw ice each
year.
Digital compass

The digital compass only works when the ign ition
is turned on. The direct ions are indicated with ab­
breviations : N (north), NE (northeast), E (east),
SE (southeast), S (south), SW (southwest), W
(west), NW (northwest).
You must recalibrate the compass if it does not
display the correct direction

@ Tips
To prevent inaccu rate compass readings, do
not bring any remote controls , e lectr ical devi­
ces or metallic objects near the mirror.
Lights and V ision
Adjusting the magnetic zone
Applies to vehicles: with digita l compass
The magnetic zone must be adjusted correctly
for the compass to read accurately.

Calibrating the compass

You must recalibrate the compass if it does not
display the correct direction.

- To avoid endangering yourself and other
d rivers, calibrate the compass in an area
where there is no traffic .

Driving
_& WARNING
- Never turn off the engine before the vehicle
has come to a complete stop. The full func­
tion of the brake booster and the power
steering is not guaranteed. You must use
more force to turn or brake if. Because you
cannot steer and brake as you usually
would, this could lead to accidents and seri­
ous injuries.
- Please note that the brake booster and pow­
er steering only work when the engine is
running. When the engine off, you must use
more force to steer or brake the vehicle. Be­
cause the usual steering and brak.ing capa­
bility is not available, the risk of accidents or
injuries increases .
- Always take the vehicle key with you when
leaving the vehicle, even for a short period
of time. This applies particularly when chil­
dren remain in the vehicle . Otherwise the
children could start the engine or operate
electrical equipment such as power win­
dows.
- For safety reasons, always park the vehicle
with the selector lever in the P position.
Otherwise, there is the risk that the vehicle
could roll.
- After the engine has been switched off, the
radiator fan can continue to run for up to 10
minutes -even with the ignition switched
off. It can also switch on again after some
time if the coolant temperature rises as the result of heat buildup or if the engine com­
partment is heated by the sun's rays and the
engine is hot.
(D Note
If the engine has been under heavy load for
an extended period of time, heat builds up in
the engine compartment after the engine is
switched off- there is a risk of damaging the
engine. For this reason, let the engine run for
at idle for approximately two minutes before
shutting it off.

Starting the engine if there is a
malfunction
Applies to vehicles: with convenience key
It may not be possible to start the engine under
certain circumstances, for example if the battery
in the vehicle key is drained, if interference is af­
fected the key or if there is a system malfunc­
tion.

There could be a malfunction if you are not able
to pull the vehicle charging connector out of the
vehicle charging port. You must use the emer­
gency release to release the vehicle charging con­
nector.
Requirement: the se lector lever must be in the P
position, the vehicle must be unlocked and the
charging process must have been ended or inter­
rupted.

in advance.
- You can operate the climate control in the
vehicle interior when the high-voltage bat­
tery is charging using the charging timer

-Make sure the time and date match in the
MMI settings so that the timer can function

ual for setting the date and time.
- The auxiliary heating or auxiliary heating/
air conditioning* can run longer after the
departure time is reached.

The Dr iver Information System collects data un­
der certain conditions and sends it to a server.
When data is stored, you can data such as the ex­
amples listed below using the Audi connect e­
tron services:
- Duration of the drive in hours and minutes,
- average speed driven in mph (km/h),
- distance driven in miles (km),
- average electric consumption .

Doors and lights

You can access and display the current status of
the following vehicle data on your mobile devices
without having to be inside the vehicle.

A WARNING
Do not be misled by the status report displays
by ignor ing messages and/or illuminated
warning and indicator lights in the vehicle.
This could lead to break downs in on the road,
accidents and serious injuries.

tion, you can nav igate to your last known parking

For example, you have the option to show the
route to your vehicle and to send the correspond­
i ng locations.

- The new parking locat ion cannot be deter­
m ined with this service if the vehicle is
moved after shutting the vehicle off and
w ithout switching the ignition on and off
again, for example when being towed or if
the vehicle is stolen .

using the second key, for example, the new
park position is transmitted to the

ter removing the key.
Charging
Applies to vehicles: with plug- in hybrid drive
You can contro l and access the high-voltage bat­
tery ch arging process remotely using these

- check the battery charge level,
