Passing another vehicle
To pass another vehicle, depress the accelerator
pedal. When yo�f release the pedal, the vehicle
will ret�frn to the previo�fsly set speed.
Increasing the set vehicle speed
To reset at a faster cr�fising speed, �fse one of
the following �bethods:
.Depress the accelerator pedal. When the
vehicle attains the desired speed, p�fsh and
release the SET/COAST switch.
. P�fsh and hold the RESUME/ACCELERATE
switch. When the vehicle attains the speed
yo�f desire, release the switch.
. P�fsh and then q�fickly release the RESUME/
ACCELERATE switch. Each ti�be yo�f do
this, the set speed will increase by abo�ft 1
MPH or 1 k�b/h.
Decreasing the set vehicle speed
To reset at a slower cr�fising speed, �fse one of
the following �bethods:
.Lightly tap the brake pedal. When the
vehicle attains the desired speed, p�fsh
and release the SET/COAST switch.
. P�fsh and hold the SET/COAST switch.
Release the switch when the vehicle slows down to the desired speed.
. P�fsh and then q�fickly release the SET/
COAST switch. Each ti�be yo�f do this, the
set speed will decrease by abo�ft 1 MPH or
1 k�b/h.
Resuming the preset speed
To res�f�be the preset speed, p�fsh and release
the RESUME/ACCELERATE switch. The vehicle
will res�f�be the last set cr�fising speed when the
vehicle speed is over 25 MPH (40 k�b/h) .
Canceling the preset speed
To cancel the preset speed, �fse one of the
following �bethods:
.P�fsh the CANCEL switch
*1. The SET
indicator will t�frn off.
. Tap the brake pedal
*3. The SET indicator
will t�frn off.
. T�frn the MAIN switch
*2off. Both the
CRUISE indicator and SET indicator will t�frn
off.

NOTE:
.If cruise control was canceled by press-
ing the cancel switch or by depressing
the brake pedal, the system changes to
standby status.
. If you depress the brake pedal while
pushing the RESUME/ACCELERATE or
SET/COAST switch and reset at the
cruising speed, the cruise control will
be deactivated. Turn the MAIN switch
off once and then turn it on again.
Under the following conditions�f cruise control
will be auto�batically canceled.
. Vehicle speed drops to below approxi�bately
19 MPH (30 k�b/h) .
. Vehicle speed drops to �bore than approxi-
�bately 8 MPH (13 k�b/h) below the set
vehicle speed.
. The shift lever is �boved to a position other
than
&AF&M.
. VDC operates.
. A tire is spinning.
. There is a �balfunction in the cruise control
syste�b.
WARNING
.Never rely solely on the hill start
assist system to prevent the vehicle
from moving backward on a hill.
Always drive carefully and atten-
tively. Depress the brake pedal
when the vehicle is stopped on a
steep hill. Be especially careful
when stopped on a hill on frozen
or muddy roads. Failure to prevent
the vehicle from rolling backwards
may result in a loss of control of the
vehicle and possible serious injury
or death.
. The hill start assist system is not
designed to hold the vehicle at a
standstill on a hill. Depress the
brake pedal when the vehicle is
stopped on a steep hill. Failure to
do so may cause the vehicle to roll
backwards and may result in a
collision or serious personal injury.
. The hill start assist may not prevent
the vehicle from rolling backwards
on a hill under all load or road
conditions. Always be prepared to
depress the brake pedal to prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards.
Failure to do so may result in a
collision or serious personal injury.
NOTICE
When the vehicle is stopped on a hill,
do not hold the vehicle in place by
depressing the accelerator pedal. Doing
so may cause the clutch to overheat and
result in transmission damage. Use the
brakes to prevent the vehicle from
moving.
The hill start assist syste�b auto�batically keeps
the brakes applied to help prevent the vehicle
fro�b rolling backwards in the ti�be it takes the
driver to release the brake pedal and apply the
accelerator when the vehicle is stopped on a hill.
Hill start assist will operate auto�batically under
the following conditions:
. The shift lever is �boved to a forward or
reverse position.
. The vehicle is stopped co�bpletely on a hill
by applying the brake.
The �baxi�bu�b holding ti�be is 2 seconds. After 2
seconds the vehicle will begin to roll back and

mately 4 seconds again. The d�fiving mode will
switch to the no�fmal A�bD mode.
Reduction of the tight co�fne�f b�faking phenom-
enon will be cancelled when:
.the R mode is selected with the t�fansmission
setup switch
. the SAVE mode is selected with the
t�fansmission setup switch and the OFF
mode is selected with the VDC setup switch
. the ignition switch is pushed to the "OFF"
position
. the R mode sta�ft function is used
WARNING
Do not reduce the tight corner braking
phenomenon when driving on a road
surface that is slippery or covered in
snow, because the driving mode will
switch to 2WD. This may cause tire
slipping and may cause a loss of control
and result in a collision, personal injury
or death.
TIRES
This vehicle is equipped with special ti�fes. �bhen
changing the ti�fes, install the designated special
ti�fes. Replacing ti�fes as a set of fou�f with new
ones is �fecommended. Howeve�f, if a ti�fe is
punctu�fed o�f damaged, it may be possible to
�feplace only the damaged ti�fe. Dete�fmining
whethe�f one ti�fe o�f a complete set of ti�fes
should be �feplaced is based on a numbe�f of
facto�fs including ti�fe wea�f and condition. Con-
tact you�f GT-R ce�ftified NISSAN deale�f. They
can �fecommend if an individual ti�fe o�f a
complete set should be �feplaced.
NOTICE
If tires other than the designated tires,
tires with large differences in wear or
tires of different sizes are installed, the
AWD performance will be degraded and
the drive mechanism may be damaged.
AWD SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS
The A�bD system automatically dist�fibutes the
optimal to�fque to the f�font and �fea�f wheels. This
p�fovides both the supe�fio�f tu�fning pe�ffo�fmance
of a �fea�f wheel d�five vehicle and the t�faction of a
A�bD vehicle. Elect�fonic cont�fol continuously dist�fibutes to�f-
que to the f�font and �fea�f wheels in the �fange
f�fom 0:100 (�fea�f-wheel d�five mode) to 50:50
(all-wheel d�five mode) to match the d�fiving
conditions and �foad conditions. This allows the
engine output (to�fque) to be effectively t�fans-
mitted to the �foad su�fface.
