A tone and warning lamp are used to remind
the driver to fasten the seat belt.
If the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position or the operation mode is put in ON
while a seat belt is not fastened, the warning lamp illuminates and the tone sounds for about 6 seconds to remind the driver to fasten
the seat belt.
If the vehicle is driven without fastening the
seat belt, the warning lamp comes on and
flashes repeatedly, and the tone sounds con-
tinuously. At the same time, the warning dis-
play is displayed on the information screen in the multi-information display.
The warning lamp goes off and the tone stops after approximately 90 seconds.
Subsequently, if the seat belt is still not fas-
tened, the warning lamp and tone will be acti-
vated to remind the driver to fasten the seat belt whenever the vehicle is stopped and star-ted again. The warning will operate in the
same way if the seat belt is removed while driving the vehicle. The warning will stop
when the seat belt is fastened.Front passenger seat belt warn-

The front passenger seat belt warning lamp is
located on the instrument panel.
The lamp comes on when a person sits on the front passenger seat but does not fasten the
seat belt. It goes off when the seat belt is sub- sequently fastened.

Lower anchorage location
Your vehicle’s rear seat is fitted with lower
anchorages for attaching a child restraint sys- tem with ISOFIX mountings.
Tether anchorage locations
There are 2 child restraint anchorage points located on the back of the rear seatbacks.
These are for fastening the child restraint tether straps to the 2 rear seat seating posi-
tions.
WARNINGl Child restraint anchorages are designed
to withstand only those loads imposed by
correctly fitted child restraints. Under no circumstances are they to be used for adult seat belts, harnesses, or for attach-
ing other items or equipment to the vehi- cle.Child restraint system with
ISOFIX mountings
The child restraint system is designed only
for seats that incorporate lower anchorages.
Retain the child restraint system using the lower anchorages.
It is not necessary to retain the child restraint
system using the vehicle’s seat belts.
A- Child restraint system connectors
To install
1. Remove any foreign material in or
around the connectors and ensure the ve- hicle seat belt is in its normal storage po-
sition.
2. Remove the head restraint from the loca-
tion in which you wish to install a child
restraint.
Refer to “Head restraints” on page 4-07.

WARNINGlDo not turn the raised wheel. The tyres
still on the ground could turn and make
your vehicle fall off the jack.
5. Remove the wheel nuts with the wheel
nut wrench, then take the wheel off.
CAUTIONl Handle the wheel carefully when changing
the tyre, to avoid scratching the wheel sur- face.
6. Clean out any mud, etc. on the hub sur-
face (F), hub bolts (G) or in the installa- tion holes (H) in the wheel, and then
mount the spare tyre.
WARNINGl Be sure to position the tyres the correct
way when putting them on the vehicle.
The valves should be on the outer side of
the vehicle. If the valve (I) cannot be seen, the tyre has been mounted the wrong wayaround.
If tyres are mounted the wrong way
around it could have a negative effect on the vehicle and cause an accident.
7. Turn the wheel nuts clockwise by hand
to initially tighten them.

Initially tighten the wheel nuts until the tapered part (A) of the nuts lightly
touches the wheel hole seats (B) enough
to keep the tyre from wobbling.

After cleaning the interior of your vehicle with water, cleaner or similar, wipe and dry
in a shady, well-ventilated area.CAUTIONl Do not use organic substances (solvents,

These chemicals can cause discolouring, staining or cracking of the surface.
If you use cleaners or polishing agents, make

1. Gently wipe off with a sponge, gauze or
other soft cloth soaked with a 3% aque-
ous solution of neutral detergent.
2. Dip cloth in fresh water and wring it out
well. Using this cloth, wipe off the deter-
gent thoroughly.
NOTEl Do not use cleaners, conditioners, and pro-
tectants containing silicons or wax.
Such products, when applied to the instru- ment panels or other parts, may cause reflec-
tions on the windscreen and obscure vision.
Also, if such products get on the switches of
the electrical accessories, it may lead to fail-

1. To maintain the value of your new vehi-
cle, handle the upholstery carefully and
keep the interior clean.
Use a vacuum cleaner and brush to clean
the seats. If stained, vinyl and synthetic leather should be cleaned with an appro- priate cleaner. Cloth fabrics can be cleaned with either upholstery cleaner or
a 3% aqueous solution of neutral deter-
gent in lukewarm water.
2. Clean the carpeting with a vacuum
cleaner and remove any stains with car- pet cleaner. Oil and grease can be re- moved by lightly dabbing with a cleancolourfast cloth and stain remover.
