Interior features
LX570_OM_OM60L96U_(U) Touch the “Rear” tab on the
screen.
Touch the desired button. The se lected button indicator is high-
lighted. “POWER”: Turns the rear screen on or off.
“Rear System Lock”: Locks the system so passengers in the rear seats
cannot operate the rear entertainment system.
“Speaker Output”: Enables the front speakers to output the front audio

Repair and replacement
It is recommended that genuine Lexus part s be used for repair to ensure perfor-
mance of each system. If no n-Lexus parts are used in replacement or if a repair
shop other than a Lexus dealer performs repairs, confirm the warranty coverage.■
Resetting the message indicating main tenance is required (U.S.A. only)
After the required maintena nce is performed according to the maintenance sched-
ule, please reset the message.
To reset the data, follow th e procedures described below:
Switch the display to the trip meter A when the engine is running.

Turn the “ENGINE START STOP” switch OFF.
While pressing the trip meter reset button, set the “ENGINE START
STOP” switch to IGNITION ON mo de (but do not start the engine
because otherwise the reset mode will be canceled). Continue to press
and hold the button until the multi-in formation display indicates that the
reset is complete.■
Allow inspection and repairs to be performed by a Lexus dealer●
Lexus technicians are well-trained specialists and are kept up to date with the
latest service information. They are well informed about the operations of all
systems on your vehicle. ●
Keep a copy of the repair order. It proves that the maintenance that has been
performed is under warranty coverage. If any problem should arise while your

Securely attach a cable or chain to the towing hook.
Take care not to damage the vehicle body.
Enter the vehicle being towed and start the engine.
If the engine does not start, turn the “ENGINE START STOP”
switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Shift the four-wheel drive control switch to “H4”. (The center dif-
ferential is unlocked.)
Change the vehicle height to N (standard) mode and press the
height control OFF button to en d the vehicle height operation.

Shift the shift lever to N and release the parking brake.

While towing
If the engine is not running, the power assist for the brakes and steering will not
function, making steering and braking more difficult. ■

LX570_OM_OM60L96U_(U) If the shift lever canno t be shifted from “P”If the shift lever cannot be shifted with your foot on the brake, there may be
a problem with the shift lock system (a system to prevent accidental opera-
tion of the shift lever). Have the ve hicle inspected by your Lexus dealer,
immediately.
The following steps may be used as an emergency measure to ensure that
the shift lever can be shifted.
Set the parking brake.
Set the “ENGINE START STOP” switch to the ACCESSORY
mode.
Depress the brake pedal.
Pry the cover up with a flathead
screw driver or equivalent.
Press the shift lock override but-
ton. The shift lever can be shifted
