Constant speed control mode differs from vehicle-to-vehicle distance
control mode. When constant speed con trol mode is selected, your vehi-
cle will maintain a set speed regardle ss of whether or not there are other
vehicles in the lane ahead.
Press the “ON-OFF” button to activate the cruise control. Press the button again to de activate the cruise control.
Switch to constant sp eed control mode. (Push the lever forward and
hold for approximately one second.) Cruise control indicator will come on.
When in constant speed control mode, to return to vehicle-to-vehicle dis-
tance control mode, push the lever forw ard again and hold for approximately
1 second.
After the desired speed has been set, it is not possible to return to vehicle-to-
vehicle distance control mode.
If the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is turned off and then turned to
IGNITION ON mode again, the vehicle will automatically return to vehicle-
to-vehicle distance control mode.

■ Screen display
The parking assist monitor screen will be displayed if the shift lever is
shifted to the “R” posit ion while the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is
in IGNITION ON mode. The parking assist monitor displays the last-used parking mode first.

Using the automatic mode
Fan speed is adjusted automatically in ac cordance with the temperature setting and
ambient conditions. As a result, the following may occur: ●
Immediately after the “AUTO” button is pressed, the fan may stop for a while
until warm or cool air is ready to flow.●
Cool air may flow to the area around the upper body when the heater is on.■
Using the system in recirculated air mode
The windows will fog up more easily if the recirculated air mode is used for an
extended period. ■
Switching between outside air and recircula ted air modes
Recirculated air mode or outside air mode may be automatically switched in accor-
dance with the temperature sett ing and the inside temperature.■
When the outside temperature exceeds 75°F (24°C) and the air conditioning
system is on ●
In order to reduce the ai r conditioning power consumption, the air conditioning
system may switch to recirculated air mode automatically. This may also reduce
fuel consumption. ●
Recirculated air mode is selected as a default mode when the “ENGINE
START STOP” switch is turn ed to IGNITION ON mode.●
It is possible to switch to outside air mode at any time by pressing .■
Window defogger feature

ations where the windows need to be defogged.

When the outside rear view mirror defoggers are on
Do not touch the rear view mirror surfaces, as they can become very hot and burn
you.These features are used to defog the rear window, and to remove rain-
drops, dew and frost from th e outside rear view mirrors.

When the windshield wiper de-icer is on
Do not touch the glass at the lower part of the windshield or the side of the front pil-
lars as the surfaces can be come very hot and burn you.This feature is used to prevent ice fr om building up on the windshield and
wiper blades.
Press the “CLIMATE” button.

vehicle is completely stopped with the “ENGINE START STOP” switch in
ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode and the parking brake applied.
While driving in DVD video mode, on ly the DVD’s audio can be heard.
When a DVD video disc is inserted whil e driving, the audio contents of the
main feature will automatically be played. However, some discs may not be
played from the main story.
Press the “AUDIO” button if a disc has already been loaded in the disc slot.
Touch the “DISC” tab or press the “AUDIO” button repeatedly until the
“DISC” tab is selected.
