Cruise control∗
Use the cruise control to maintain a set speed without depressing the accelera-
tor pedal.
Set speed
Indicators
Cruise control switch
Press the “ON/OFF” button to acti-
vate the cruise control.
Cruise control indicator will come on.
Press the button again to deactivate the
cruise control.
Accelerate or decelerate the vehicle
to the desired speed, and push the
lever down to set the speed.
Cruise control “SET” indicator will come
on.
The vehicle speed at the moment the
lever is released becomes the set speed.

■Cruise control can be set when
●The shift lever is in D.
●Range 4 or higher of D has been selected by using the paddle shift.
●Vehicle speed is above approximately 40 km/h (25 mph).
■Accelerating after setting the vehicle speed
●The vehicle can be accelerated normally. After acceleration, the set speed resumes.
●Even without canceling the cruise control, the set speed can be increased by first accel-
erating the vehicle to the desired speed and then pushing the lever down to set the new
speed.
■Automatic cruise control cancelation
Cruise control will stop maintaining the vehicle speed in any of the following situations.
●Actual vehicle speed falls more than approximately 16 km/h (10 mph) below the preset
vehicle speed.
At this time, the memorized set speed is not retained.
●Actual vehicle speed is below approximately 40 km/h (25 mph).
●VSC is activated.
●TRC is activated for a period of time.
●When the VSC or TRC system is turned off by pressing the VSC OFF switch.
■If the warning message for the cruise control is shown on the multi-information display
Press the “ON/OFF” button once to deactivate the system, and then press the button
again to reactivate the system.
If the cruise control speed cannot be set or if the cruise control cancels immediately after
being activated, there may be a malfunction in the cruise control system. Have the vehi-
cle inspected by any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional.
WA R N I N G
■To avoid operating the cruise control by mistake
Switch the cruise control off using the “ON/OFF” button when not in use.
■Situations unsuitable for cruise control
Do not use cruise control in any of the following situations.
Doing so may result in loss of control and could cause an accident resulting in death or
serious injury.
●In heavy traffic
●On roads with sharp bends
●On winding roads
●On slippery roads, such as those covered with rain, ice or snow
●On steep hills
Vehicle speed may exceed the set sp eed when driving down a steep hill.
●When your vehicle is towing a trailer or during emergency towing

rounding area on the bumper is dirty or covered with iceA buzzer also sounds.
→ Clean the sensor and its surrounding area on the
bumper.
Indicates a malfunction in the cruise control system or
dynamic radar cruise control system (if equipped)
Press the “ON/OFF” button once to deactivate the
system, and then press the button again to reactivate
the system.

equipped professional.

Indicates a malfunction in the dynamic radar cruise con-
trol with full-speed range

■Warning message in radar cruise mode (if equipped)
In the following cases, the warning message may not be displayed even if vehicle-to-vehi-
cle distance decreases:
●When your vehicle and the vehicle ahead are traveling at the same speed or the vehicle
ahead is traveling more quickly than your vehicle
●When the vehicle ahead is traveling at a very low speed
●Immediately after cruise control speed is set
●At the instant the accelerator pedal is depressed
■Open door warning message (GS350/GS200t only)
The open door warning message continues to display until a door or the trunk is fully
closed, even if the engine switch is turned off. However, approximately 20 minutes after a
door or the trunk is not fully closed, the ba ttery-saving function operates and the display
turns off even though a door or the trunk is not fully closed.
■Warning buzzer
In some cases, the buzzer may not be heard because of noisy place or an audio sound.

■When using the spare tire (GS350/GS200t with compact spare tire, and GS F)
●Remember that the spare tire provided is specifically designed for use with your vehi-
cle. Do not use your spare tire on another vehicle.
●Do not use more than one spare tire simultaneously.
●Replace the spare tire with a standard tire as soon as possible.
●Avoid sudden acceleration, abrupt steering, sudden braking and shifting operations
that cause sudden engine braking.
■When the spare tire is attached (GS350/GS200t with compact spare tire, and
GS F)
The vehicle speed may not be correctly detected, and the following systems may not
operate correctly:
Also, not only can the following system not be utilized fully, but it may even negatively
affect the drive-train components:

■Speed limit when using the spare tire (GS350/GS200t with compact spare tire, and
GS F)
Do not drive at speeds in excess of 80 km/h (50 mph) when a spare tire is installed on
the vehicle.
The spare tire is not designed for driving at high speeds. Failure to observe this precau-
tion may lead to an accident cau sing death or serious injury.
■After using the tools and jack
Before driving, make sure all the tools and jack are securely in place in their storage
location to reduce the possibility of personal injury during a collision or sudden brak-
ing.
