4-5. Using the driving support systems
The guide lines are very far out of alignment
The camera position is out of alignment.Have the vehicle inspected by your
Lexus dealer.
• The vehicle is tilted (there is a heavy
load on the vehicle, tire pressure is
low due to a tire puncture, etc.)
• The vehicle is used on an incline.If this happens due to these causes, it
does not indicate a malfunction.
Back up while visually checking the
vehicle’s surroundings.
 The estimated course lines move even though the steering wheel is straight
There is a malfunction in the signals
being output by the steering sensor.Have the vehicle inspected by your
Lexus dealer.
Guide lines are not displayed
The trunk is open.
Close the trunk.
If this does not resolve the symptom,
have the vehicle inspected by your
Lexus dealer.
The estimated course lines are not displayed
• 12-volt battery power is low.
• The steering sensor has been rein-
stalled.
• There is a malfunction in the signals being output by the steering sensor.Stop the vehicle, and turn the steering
wheel as far as it will go to the left and
right.

●When outgoing calls are controlled, due to heavy traffic on telephone lines, etc.
●When the cellular phone itself cannot be used
●When transferring phonebook data from the cellular phone
■Bluetooth® antenna
The antenna is built into the display.
If the portable audio player or cellular phon e is behind the seat or in the glove box or
console box, or is touching or covered by metal objects, the connection status may
deteriorate.
■Battery charge/signal status
●This display may not correspond exactly with the portable audio player or cellular
phone itself.
●This system does not have a charging function.
●The portable audio player or cellular ph one battery will be depleted quickly when
the device is conn ected to Bluetooth®.
■When using the Bluetooth® audio and hands-free system at the same time
The following problems may occur.
●The Bluetooth® audio connection may be interrupted.
●Noise may be heard during Bluetooth® audio playback.

To set the visor in the forward
position, flip it down.
To set the visor in the side posi-
tion, flip down, unhook, and swing
it to the side.
To use the side extender, place
the visor in the side position, then
slide it backward.
Slide the cover to open.
The light turns on when the cover is
opened.

7-3. Do-it-yourself maintenance
■Adding distilled waterRemove the vent plug.
Add distilled water.
If the “UPPER LEVEL” line cannot
be seen, check the fluid level by
looking directly at the cell.
Put the vent plug back on and close it securely.
■Before recharging
When recharging, the 12-volt battery prod uces hydrogen gas which is flammable
and explosive. Therefore, observe the following before recharging:
●If recharging with the 12-volt battery installed on the vehicle, be sure to disconnect
the ground cable.
●Make sure the power switch on the charger is off when connecting and discon-
necting the charger cables to the 12-volt battery.

9-2. Customization
■Vehicle customization
●When the “Auto Lock by Speed” and “Auto Lock by Shift from P” are both on, the
door lock operates as follows.
• When shifting the shift lever to any position other than P, all the doors will be
locked.
• If the vehicle is started with all the door s locked, the “Auto Lock by Speed” would
not operate.
• If the vehicle is started with any door unlocked, the “Auto Lock by Speed” will operate.
●When the smart access system with push-b utton start is off, the “Select Doors to
Unlock” cannot be customized.
●When the doors remain closed after un locking the doors and the “Auto Relock
Timer” activates, the signals will be generated in accordance with the “Lock/
Unlock Feedback-Tone” and the “Lock/Unlock Feedback-Lights” settings.
■When customizing using Remote Touch or Lexus Display Audio controller
Stop the vehicle in a safe place, apply the parking brake, and shift the shift lever to P.
Also, to prevent 12-volt battery discharge, leave the engine running
while customizing the features.
CAUTION
■During customization
As the engine needs to be running during customiza-
tion, ensure that the vehicle is parked in a place with adequate ventilation. In a
closed area such as a garage, exhaust gases including harmful carbon monoxide
(CO) may collect and enter the vehicle. This may lead to death or a serious health
hazard.
