Cool box (if equipped)
You can keep beverage cans or other
items cool in the glove box. 1. Turn on the air conditioning.
2. Slide the open/close lever (1) of the
vent installed in the glove box to the open position.
3. When the cool box is not used, slide the lever (1) to the closed position.

If some items in the cool box block the
vent, the cooling effectiveness of the cool
box is reduced.

If the temperature control knob is in the
warm or hot position, warm or hot air
will flow into the glove box.

Cigarette lighter (if equipped)
For the cigarette lighter to work, the igni-
tion switch must be in the ACC or ONposition.
To use the cigarette lighter, push it all the
way into its socket. When the element isheated, the lighter will pop out to the"ready" position.Ashtray (if equipped)
To use the ashtray, open the cover.
To clean or empty the ashtray, pull it out.

Cup holder
Cups or small beverage cans may be
placed in the cup holders.
WARNING - Hot liquids
Do not place uncovered cups of hot liquid in the cup holder while
the vehicle is in motion. If the hot
liquid spills, you may burn your-
self. Such a burn to the driver
could lead to loss of control of
the vehicle.
To reduce the risk of personal injury in the event of a sudden
stop or collision, do not place
uncovered or unsecured bottles,
glasses, cans, etc., in the cup
holder while the vehicle is inmotion.
WARNING - Ashtray use
Do not use the vehicle’s ashtray as waste receptacles.
Putting lit cigarettes or matches in an ashtray with other com-
bustible materials may cause fire.

Use the sunvisor to shield direct light
through the front or side windows.
A mirror (if equipped) and ticket holder (if
equipped) is provided on the sunvisor.Power outlet
The power outlet is designed to provide
power for mobile telephones or other
devices designed to operate with vehicle
electrical systems. The devices should
draw less than 15 amps with the engine
running.

Floor mat anchor(s) When using a floor mat on the front floor
carpet, make sure it attaches to the floor
mat anchor(s) in your vehicle. This keeps
the floor mat from sliding forward.

Use the power outlet only when

the accessory plug after use.Using the accessory plug for pro-longed periods of time with the engine off could cause the bat-
tery to discharge.
Only use 12V electric accessories which are less than 15A in elec-tric capacity.
Adjust the air-conditioner or heater to the lowest operatinglevel when using the power outlet.
Close the cover when not in use. Some electronic devices can cause electronic interference when
plugged into a vehicle’s power out-let. These devices may causeexcessive audio static and malfunc-tions in other electronic systems or
devices used in your vehicle.

ment (pin, etc.) into a power outlet

Do not stack floor mats on top of one another (e.g. all-weather rub-ber mat on top of a carpeted floor
mat). Only a single floor mat
should be installed in each posi-tion.

manufactured with driver's side
floor mat anchors that are
designed to securely hold the
floor mat in place. To avoid any
interference with pedal operation,
HYUNDAI recommends that only
the HYUNDAI floor mat designed

Luggage net (holder) (if equipped)To keep items from shifting in the cargo
area, you can use the four holders locat-ed in the cargo area to attach the lug-gage net.
If necessary, we recommend that you
contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealerto obtain a luggage net.
Cargo area cover (if equipped)
Use the cargo area cover to hide items stored in the cargo area.
The cargo area cover can be uprighted
or removed.
WARNING
Do not place objects on the cargo area cover. Such objects may be
thrown about inside the vehicle
and possibly injure vehicle occu-pants during an accident or brak-ing.
Never allow anyone to ride in the luggage compartment. It is
designed for luggage only.
CAUTION
Do not put luggage on the cover
since it may be damaged or mal-
formed.
WARNING
Avoid eye injury. DO NOT over-
stretch. The luggage net ALWAYS
keep your face and body out of the

Antenna
Roof antenna
Your car uses a roof antenna to receive
both AM and FM broadcast signals. This
antenna is a removable type. To remove
the antenna, turn it counterclockwise. To
install the antenna, turn it clockwise.
AUDIO SYSTEM
CAUTION
• Before entering a place with a low
height clearance, be sure that the
antenna is removed.
Be sure to remove the antenna before washing the vehicle in anautomatic car wash or it may be
damaged.
When reinstalling your antenna, it is important that it is fully tight-ened and adjusted to the uprightposition to ensure proper recep-
tion. But it could be removedwhen parking the vehicle.
