Lane departure warning system
Activation
Deactivation
DetectionOperating fault
System which detects the involuntary crossing o
f longitudinal traffic lane markings on the
g
round (solid or broken line).
Sensors,
fitted below the front bumper, trigger
a
warning if the vehicle drifts over a lane
m
arking (speed higher than 50 mph (80 km/h)).
This
system is particularly useful on motor ways
a
nd main roads. In
the event of a malfunction, the
s
ervice warning lamp comes on,
a
ccompanied by an audible signal
a
nd a message in the screen.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
w
orkshop.
The lane departure warning system
c
annot in any circumstances replace
t
he need for vigilance on the part of the
d
river.
It
is necessary to observe driving
r
egulations and take a break every
two
hours. The
detection may be impeded:
- i f the sensors are dirty (mud, snow...),
-
i
f the markings on the ground are
w
orn,
-
i
f there is little contrast between the
markings
on the ground and the road
s
ur face.
You
are warned by the vibration of the driver's
s
eat cushion:
-
o
n the right-hand side, if the marking on
t
he ground has been crossed on the right,
-
o
n the left-hand side, if the marking on the
g
round has been crossed on the left.
No
warning is transmitted while the direction
i
ndicator is active and for approximately
2
0 seconds after the direction indicator is
switched
off.
A
warning may be transmitted if a direction
m
arking (e.g. arrow) or non-standard marking
(
e.g. graffiti) is crossed.
F
Press this button, the indicator lamp comes on.
F Press
this button again, the indicator lamp g

The
status of the system remains in the

Operating fault
The system is automatically deactivated when towing with a towbar approved by

In particular, driving on a wet sur face
