JACKING AND TIRE CHANGING
Jack Location
The scissor-type jack and tire changing tools are stowed under the load floor in the trunk.
Spare Tire Stowage
The compact spare tire is stowed under the rear load floor in the trunk.
Spare Tire Removal
Lift up the load floor cover and remove the hold down.

Position the jack handle on the jack.Do not raise the vehicle until you are sure the jack is
fully engaged.
5. Raise the vehicle by turning the jack screw to the right. Raise the vehicle only until the tire just clears the surface and enough clearance is obtained to install the spare tire. Minimum tire lift
provides maximum stability.
6. Remove the lug bolts and wheel.
7. Position the spare wheel/tire on the vehicle and install lug bolts with the cone-shaped end toward the wheel. Lightly tighten the bolts.
8. Lower the vehicle by turning the jack screw to the left, and remove the jack.

TIRE PRESSURES
Check the inflation pressure of each tire, including the spare tire, at least monthly and inflate to
the recommended pressure for your vehicle.
The tire pressures recommended for your vehicle are found on the “Tire and Loading Informa-
tion” label located on the driver’s side door opening.

more information regarding tire warnings and
instructions.
WARNING!
• Overloading of your tires is dangerous. Overloading can cause tire failure, affect vehiclehandling, and increase your stopping distance. Use tires of the recommended load
capacity for your vehicle . Never overload them.
• Improperly inflated tires are dangerous and can cause collisions. Under-inflation increases
tire flexing and can result in over-heating and tire failure. Over-inflation reduces a tire’s
ability to cushion shock. Objects on the road and chuck holes can cause damage that
results in tire failure. Unequal tire pressures can cause steering problems. You could lose
control of your vehicle. Over-inflated or under-inflated tires can affect vehicle handling
and can fail suddenly, resulting in loss of vehicle control. Always drive with each tire inflated
to the recommended cold tire inflation pressure.
