The Multi-information display presents the driver with a variety
of driving-related data including the clock.

EV indicator can be activated or deactivated by pressing the display
change button when the EV indicator customization display is dis-
played.
To change the EV indicator customization display, display the odometer
and press and hold the display change button until the display changes.
The clock can be adjusted by pressing the buttons.

The temperature display shows temperatures within the range of
-40°C (-40°F) and 50°C (122°F).
Display
In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not
be displayed, or the display may take longer than normal to change:
When the vehicle is stopped, or moving at low speeds (less than
25 km/h [16 mph])
When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the
entrance/exit of a garage, tunnel, etc.)
When “” or “E” is displayed
The system may be malfunctioning. Take your vehicle to any autho-
rized Toyota dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional.

When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals
The following information data will be reset.

Liquid crystal display
Small spots or light spots may appear on the display. This phenomenon is
characteristic of liquid crystal display, and there is no problem continuing to
use the display.
WARNING
Cautions during setting up the display
As the engine needs to be running during setting up the display, ensure that
the vehicle is parked in a place with adequate ventilation. In a closed area
such as a garage, exhaust gases including harmful carbon monoxide (CO)
may collect and enter the vehicle. This may lead to death or a serious
health hazard.
NOTICE
The Multi-information display at low temperatures
Allow the interior of the vehicle to warm up before using the liquid crystal
information display. At extremely low temperatures, the display monitor may
respond slowly, and display changes may be delayed.

Turning clockwise changes the play mode in the following

Adjusting the temperature setting
To adjust the temperature set-
ting, turn the temperature con-
trol dial clockwise or
counterclockwise.
If is not pressed, the sys-
tem will blow ambient tempera-
ture air or heated air.

Adjusting the temperature for driver and passenger seats sep-
arately (“DUAL” mode)
To turn on the “DUAL” mode, perform any of the following proce-
dure:
Press .
Adjust the passenger’s side temperature setting.
The indicator comes on when the “DUAL” mode is on.
To turn off the “DUAL” mode, press the switch again. Cooling and dehumidification

Adding engine oil
If the oil level is below or near
the low level mark, add engine
oil of the same type as that
already in the engine.
Make sure to check the oil type and prepare the items needed
before adding oil.
Remove the oil filler cap by turning it counterclockwise.
Add engine oil slowly, checking the dipstick.
Install the oil filler cap by turning it clockwise.
Engine oil consumption
A certain amount of engine oil will be consumed while driving. In the following
situations, oil consumption may increase, and engine oil may need to be
refilled in between oil maintenance intervals.
When the engine is new, for example directly after purchasing the vehicle or
after replacing the engine
If low quality oil or oil of an inappropriate viscosity is used
When driving at high engine speeds or with a heavy load, or when driving
while accelerating or decelerating frequently
When leaving the engine idling for a long time, or when driving frequently
through heavy traffic

Headlights
Turn the bulb base counter-
clockwise.
Pull the bulb out while press-
ing the lock release of the
connector.
Replace the light bulb, and
install the bulb base.
Align the 3 tabs on the light bulb
with the mounting and insert.
Turn and secure the bulb
base.
Shake the bulb base gently to
check that it is not loose, turn
the headlights on once and visu-
ally confirm that no light is leak-
ing through the mounting.
