FAMILIARISATION
INTERIOR
1. Interior mood lighting
This dimmed lighting of the passenger
compartment facilitates visibility inside the
vehicle when the light is poor.
2. Audio and telematic systems
This equipment benefi ts from the latest technology:
MP3 compatible PEUGEOT Connect Sound (RD5),
PEUGEOT Connect Navigation (RT6) or PEUGEOT
Connect Media Navigation (NG4 3D) with 16/9 retractable
colour screen, JBL audio system, auxiliary sockets.

This automatic system can be controlled
manually by means of this control on the
centre console.
3. Dual-zone digital air conditioning
This systems allows different levels of comfort
to be set for the driver and front passenger.
It then controls these levels automatically
according to the ambient conditions. PEUGEOT Techno PVC
For maintenance of this trim, do not use
solvent or detergent with a dry cloth.
Remove dust fi rst, then use a soft cloth
and soapy water. Dry using another soft
cloth.

DISPLAYS IN THE SCREEN
Displays according to context:
- time,
- date,
- altitude,
- ambient temperature (the value displayed fl ashes if there is a risk of ice),
- parking sensor information,
- audio functions,
- telephone and contacts information,
- satellite navigation system information,
- alert messages,
- menus for settings of the screen, navigation system and vehicle equipment. From the navigation system control panel, to select one of the
applications:
 press the dedicated
"RADIO" , "MUSIC" , "NAV" , "TRAFFIC" ,
"PHONE" or "SETUP" button for access to the corresponding
menu,
 turn dial A to select a function, an item in a list,
 press button B to confi rm the selection,
or
 press the "Back" button to abandon the current operation and
return to the previous display.
For more information on these applications, refer to the "Audio
equipment and telematics" section.
CONTROLS
For operation of the retractable screen (opening, closing,
adjustment of the position, etc.), refer to the "Access to the
retractable screen" section.

You can adjust the angle of the screen to one of four defi ned positions,
by repeated presses on the front or back of the control B . The position
of the screen is memorised on closing.
Adjusting the angle of the screen
The screen opens automatically when the ignition is switched on. It
closes automatically three seconds after switching off the ignition if the
audio and telematics system is switched off.
ACCESS TO THE RETRACTABLE SCREEN
You can open or close the screen at any time, with the ignition on, using\

control A .
- Press button A : the screen folds.
- Press button A again: the screen opens again.
If you have closed the screen, it will open again automatically:
- on switching on the audio and navigation system (unless it had been closed manually while the system was in operation),
- when an outgoing telephone call is made,
- when a voice command is given,
- when a warning message linked with the STOP warning lamp is displayed ( PEUGEOT Connect Navigation (RT6)).

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
ENERGY ECONOMY MODE
System which manages the duration of use of certain functions to
conserve a suffi cient level of charge in the battery.
After the engine has stopped, you can still use functions such as
the audio and telematic system, windscreen wipers, dipped beam
headlamps, courtesy lamp, etc. for a maximum combined duration of
thirty minutes.
This period may be greatly reduced if the battery is not fully charged. \
SWITCHING TO ECONOMY MODE
Once this time has elapsed, a message appears in the screen indicating
that the vehicle has switched to economy mode and the active functions
are put on standby. If the telephone is being used at this time:
- it will be maintained for 5 minutes with the Bluetooth system of your PEUGEOT Connect Sound (RD5),
- it will still be possible to fi nish the call with the PEUGEOT
Connect Navigation (RT6) or PEUGEOT Connect Media
(NG4 3D).
EXITING ECONOMY MODE
These functions are reactivated automatically next time the vehicle is
driven.
To restore operation of these functions immediately, start the engine
and let it run for at least 5 minutes.
Let the engine run for the period specifi ed to ensure that the battery
charge is suffi cient.
Do not repeatedly and continuously restart the engine in order to charge\

the battery.
A fl at battery prevents the engine from starting (refer to the
"Battery" section).
LOAD REDUCTION MODE
System which manages the use of certain functions according to the
level of charge remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the load reduction function temporarily
deactivates certain functions, such as the air conditioning, the heated \
rear screen...
The deactivated functions are reactivated automatically as soon as
conditions permit.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
DISCONNECTING / RECONNECTING
THE CABLES
To avoid discharging the battery, do not leave the vehicle lighting
on repeatedly with the ignition off (refer to the "Energy economy
mode" paragraph).
It is advisable to disconnect the battery if the vehicle is to be left
unused for more than one month.
Do not disconnect the terminals while the engine is running.
Do not charge the batteries without disconnecting the terminals fi rst.
Before disconnecting the battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off the ignition before disconnecting
the battery.
Retract the active spoiler then close the windows and the doors
before disconnecting the battery.
Following reconnection of the battery
Following reconnection of the battery, switch on the ignition
and wait 1 minute before starting to permit initialisation of the
electronic systems. However, if slight problems remain following
this operation, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualifi ed
workshop.
Referring to the corresponding section, you must yourself
reinitialise:
- the remote control key,
- the electric windows and the automatic partial opening of the door windows,
- the GPS satellite navigation system.
 Raise the locking tab
D fully.
 Position the open clip E of the cable on the positive terminal (+)
of the battery.
 Press vertically on the clip E to position it correctly against the
battery.
 Lock the clip by lowering the tab D .
CHARGING THE BATTERY USING A BATTERY
CHARGER
 Disconnect the battery from the vehicle.
 Follow the instructions for use provided by the manufacturer of
the charger.
 Reconnect starting with the negative terminal (-).
 Check that the terminals and connectors are clean. If they are covered with sulphate (whitish or greenish deposit), remove them
and clean them.
Do not force the tab as locking will not be possible if the clip is not \
positioned correctly.
Start the procedure again. Some functions are not available if the battery is not suffi ciently
charged.
