■The compact spare tire
●The compact spare tire is identified by the label “TEMPORARY USE ONLY” on
the tire sidewall.
Use the compact spare tire temporarily, and only in an emergency.
●Make sure to check the tire inflation pressure of the compact spare tire.
( P. 775)
■When using the compact spare tire
As the compact spare tire is not equipped with a tire pressure warning valve and
transmitter, low inflation pressure of the spare tire will not be indicated by the tire
pressure warning system. Also, if you replace the compact spare tire after the tire
pressure warning light comes on, the light remains on.
■When the compact spare tire is equipped
The vehicle becomes lower when driving wi th the compact spare tire compared to
when driving with standard tires.
■If you have a flat rear tire on a road covered with snow or ice (vehicles with front
and rear tires of the same size)
Install the compact spare tire on one of th e front wheels of the vehicle. Perform the
following steps and fit tire chains to the rear tires:
Replace a front tire with the compact spare tire.
Replace the flat rear tire with the tire removed from the front of the vehicle.
Fit tire chains to the rear tires.

●Is the window lock switch pressed?
The power window except for the one at the driver’s seat can-
not be operated if the window lock switch is pressed. (P. 1 4 7 )
●The auto power off function will be operated if the vehicle is left
in ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode (the engine is not
running) for a period of time. ( P. 1 76 )
●The seat belt remind er light is flashing
Are the driver and the front passenger wearing the seat belts?
( P. 705)
●The parking brake indicator is on
Is the parking brake released? ( P. 1 8 8 )
Depending on the situation, ot her types of warning buzzer may
also sound. ( P. 702, 712)
The windows do not open or close by operating the power win-
dow switches
The engine switch is turned off automatically

●Did anyone inside the vehicle open a door during setting the
alarm?
The sensor detects it and the alarm sounds. ( P. 7 2 )
To stop the alarm, turn the engi ne switch to IGNITION ON mode
or start the engine.
●Is the electronic key left insid e the vehicle or the moon roof
opened?
Check the message on the multi-information display.

●When a warning light turns on or a warning message is dis-
