■Mirror angle can be adjusted when
The power switch is in ACCESSORY or ON mode.
■Rain clearing mirrors (type B only)
The coating on the mirror has the rain clearing (hydrophilic) effect to make the rear view
clearer in raining. When water droplets collects on the mirror surface, this effect causes
the droplets to be spread out into a film.
●The rain clearing effect will be reduced temp orarily, when the dirt is adhered to the mir-
ror or after your vehicle is parked for a long time in underground or indoor parking lots,
etc., where there is no direct sunlight. Howe ver, the effect will gradually recover after 1-
or 2-day exposure to direct sunlight.
●If you want to restore the rain clearing effect immediately, conduct the restoration work
( → P. 443).
■When the mirrors are fogged up
The outside rear view mirrors can be cleared using the mirror defoggers. Turn on the
rear window defogger to turn on the outside rear view mirror defoggers.
(→ P. 4 1 2 , 4 1 9 )
■Automatic adjustment of the mirror angle (vehicles with driving position memory)
A desired mirror face angle can be entered to memory and recalled automatically by the
driving position memory. ( →P. 1 4 7 )
■Auto anti-glare function (type B only)
When the anti-glare inside rear view mirror is set to automatic mode, the outside rear
view mirrors will activate in conjunction with the anti-glare inside rear view mirror to
reduce reflected light. ( →P. 1 5 5 )
■Using automatic mode in cold weather (type B only)
When automatic mode is used in cold weather, the door mirror could freeze up and
automatic stowing and return may not be possible. In this event, remove any ice and snow
from the door mirror, then either operate the mirror using manual mode or move the mir-
ror by hand.
■Customization
The automatic mirror folding and extending operation can be changed.

■The power windows can be operated when
The power switch is in ON mode.
■Operating the power windows after turning the hybrid system off
The power windows can be operated for approximately 45 seconds even after the
power switch is turned to ACCESSORY mode or turned off. They cannot, however, be
operated once either front door is opened.
■Jam protection function
If an object becomes caught between the window and the window frame, window travel
is stopped and the window is opened slightly.
■When the power window does not close normally
If the jam protection function is operating abnormally and a window cannot be closed,
perform the following operations using the power window switch on the relevant door.
●After stopping the vehicle, the window can be closed by holding the power window
switch in the one-touch closing position while the power switch is turned to ON mode.
●If the window still cannot be closed even by carrying out the operation explained above,
initialize the function by performing the following procedure.
Hold the power window switch in the one- touch closing position. Continue holding
the switch for a further 6 seconds after the window has closed.
Hold the power window switch in the one- touch opening position. Continue holding
the switch for a further 2 seconds afte r the window has opened completely.
Hold the power window switch in the one-touch closing position once again. Con-
tinue holding the switch for a further 2 seconds after the window has closed.
If you release the switch while the window is moving, start again from the beginning.
If the window continues to close but then re-open slightly even after performing the
above procedure correctly, have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.
■Door lock linked window operation
●The power windows can be opened and closed using the mechanical key.* ( → P. 565)
●The power windows can be opened and closed using the wireless remote control.*(→ P. 1 1 9 )
*: These settings must be customized at any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or

Driving
CT200h_OM_OM76135E_(EE)
WA R N I N G
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to do so may result in death or serious injury.
■When driving on slippery road surfaces
●Sudden braking, acceleration and steering may cause tire slippage and reduce your
ability to control the vehicle.
●Sudden acceleration, engine braking due to shifting, or changes in engine speed
could cause the vehicle to skid.
●After driving through a puddle, lightly depres s the brake pedal to make sure that the
brakes are functioning properly. Wet brake pads may prevent the brakes from func-
tioning properly. If th e brakes on only one side are wet and not functioning properly,
steering control may be affected.
■When shifting the shift position
●Do not let the vehicle roll backward while a fo rward driving position is selected, or roll
forward while the shift position is in R.
Doing so may result in an accident or damage to the vehicle.
●Do not shift the shift position to P while the vehicle is moving.
Doing so can damage the transmission and may result in a loss of vehicle control.
●Do not shift the shift position to R while the vehicle is moving forward.
Doing so can damage the transmission and may result in a loss of vehicle control.
●Do not shift the shift position to D while the vehicle is moving backward.
Doing so can damage the transmission and may result in a loss of vehicle control.
●Moving the shift position to N while the vehicle is moving will disengage the hybrid
system. Engine braking is not available with the hybrid system disengaged.
●Be careful not to change the shift position with the accelerator pedal depressed.
Changing the shift position to any positions other than P or N may lead to unex-
pected rapid acceleration of the vehicle that may cause an accident and result in
death or serious injury.
After changing the shift position, make sure to confirm the current shift position dis-
played on the shift position indicator inside the meter.
■If you hear a squealing or scraping noise (brake pad wear indicators)
Have the brake pads checked and replaced by any authorized Lexus dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equi pped professional as soon as possible.
Rotor damage may result if the pads are not replaced when needed.
Front brakes only: Moderate levels of brak e pad and disc wear allow enhanced front
braking power. As a result, the discs may wear more quickly than conventional brake
discs. Therefore, when replacing the brake pads, Lexus recommends that you also
have the thickness of the discs measured.
It is dangerous to drive the vehicle when the wear limits of the brake pads and/or those
of the brake discs are exceeded.
