Seat Belt Guide (Convertible models)
Unsnap the seat belt guide 01 to allow rear seat passengers easier access.
Before fastening the seat belt, ensure the seat belt is




inserted into the seat belt guide and the snaps are




securely fastened.
When using the seat belt guide, do not allow the seat



belt to twist so that it will retract correctly.
For more information, refer to the “Safety –– Seats, seat belts and supplemental restraint system (section 1)”\
of your Owner’s Manual.
Automatic Drive Positioner (if so equipped)
Two positions for the driver’s seat, steering column
and outside mirrors can be stored in the automatic
drive positioner memory.
Follow these procedures to set the memory positions:



•

Confirm the shift lever is in the
P (PA rk ) position
(automatic transmissions) or the parking brake is applied (manual tra\
nsmissions).



•

Push the ignition switch to the
ON position.



•

Adjust the driver’s seat, steering column and outside mirrors to the \
desired positions using
the adjusting switches for each feature.



•
Push the SE
t switch and within 5 seconds, push the memory switch (1 or 2) for at least 1 second.



•

The indicator light on the memory switch you select will illuminate for \
approximately 5 seconds.




•

The driver’s seat, steering column and outside mirror positions are n\
ow set to your preference.
These memorized positions can also be linked to your INFINITI Intelligen\
t Key.

Passenger Rear Seat Entry/Exit
For ease in entering and exiting the rear passenger
areas of the vehicle, perform the following steps:



1.

Release the front seatbelt guide and seat belt.

(Convertible models)



2.

Pull the seatback lever 01 upward to fold the
front seatback forward. Make sure that the front
seatback is completely folded.



3.


To slide the front seat forward, firmly push

the seatback button
02. The front seat will
move forward.
To stop the front seat from sliding, press the seatback button 02 again. To return the front seat to its original position:



1.

Push or pull the seatback backward until it locks in place.



2.

Press the seatback button 02 to slide the front seat backward.

Outside Mirror Control Switch
To select the right or left side mirror, turn the control
switch
01 right or left.
To adjust the mirror angle,
move the control switch
01 up, down, right or left.
To prevent accidentally moving the mirror, turn and




set the switch to the middle (neutral) position.

Starting/Stopping the Engine
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (if so equipped)
It is important to make sure the INFINITI Intelligent
Key is with you (that is, in your pocket or purse).
Depress the brake pedal.



•

If the brake pedal is not depressed, pushing the

ignition switch once enters the ACC mode.



•

If the ignition switch is pushed a second time, the

vehicle will enter the ON mode.
Press the ignition switch
S t A rt /S t OP button to start
the engine.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION (if so equipped)
Depress the brake pedal.



•

If the brake pedal is not depressed, pushing the ignition switch once en\
ters the
ACC mode.



•

If the ignition switch is pushed a second time, the vehicle will enter t\
he
ON mode.
Move the shift lever to N (NEU tr AL).
Depress the clutch pedal to the floor.
Press the ignition switch S t A rt /S t OP button.
TURNING THE ENGINE OFF
For an automatic transmission, move the shift lever to the P (PA rk ) position, apply the
parking brake and push the ignition switch.
For a manual transmission, apply the foot brake, place the vehicle in 1s\
t gear, apply the
parking brake and push the ignition switch.

Conventional (Fixed Speed) Cruise Control
The cruise control system enables you to set a
constant cruising speed once the vehicle has
reached 25 mph(40 km/h).
The system will automatically maintain the set speed



until you tap the brake pedal, accelerate, cancel or




turn the system off.

To activate the cruise control, push the ON/OFF
switch
01 . The C r UISE
indicator light in the
instrument panel will illuminate.
To set cruising speed, accelerate the vehicle to the desired speed, push the COAS t /
SE
t switch

02 and release. The C r UISE SE t indicator light
in the instrument panel will
illuminate. Take your foot off the accelerator pedal. y our vehicle will maintain the set speed.
To reset at a faster cruising speed, push and hold the ACCEL/ r ES switch
03 . When the

vehicle attains the desired speed, release the switch.
To reset at a slower cruising speed, push and hold the COAS t /SE t switch
02 . Release the

switch when the vehicle slows to the desired speed.
To cancel the preset speed, tap the brake pedal or push the CANCEL switch

ON/OFF switch

USB/iPod® Interface
The USB jack 01 is located in the center console under

the arm rest.
When a compatible USB memory device or iPod®
is plugged into the USB jack, compatible
audio and video files stored on the device
can be played through the vehicle’s audio
system and front display.

Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) System (if so equipped)
VEHICLE-TO-VEHICLE DISTANCE CONTROL MODE
To set Vehicle-To-Vehicle Distance Control mode,
press the ON/OFF button

01 for less than 1.5 seconds.

UISE indicator light
02 will illuminate.
Accelerate to the desired speed.
Push down on the
COAS t /SE t switch
03 and release

it. Cruise control will be set to the desired speed.
Press the distance button 04 repeatedly to change

the set distance between long, middle, and short.
When a vehicle is not detected ahead of you in the
lane, the set distance and set vehicle speed indicator
lights will illuminate
05 in set mode.
When a vehicle is detected ahead of you in the lane,

the vehicle ahead detection, set distance, and set
vehicle speed indicator lights will illuminate

set mode.
To reset at a faster cruising speed, push up and hold the ACCEL/ r ES

Opening/Closing the Hard Top (Convertible models)
Before opening or closing the retractable hard top, refer to
your Owner’s Manual for detailed warnings and cautions
regarding hard top operation.

he trunk area must be absolutely empty or it may result
in damage to the hard top.
Preparing to Lower the

The vehicle must be on a level surface when operating

the hard top.
2.


Make sure that the trunk area is absolutely empty.
3.


Pull up on the strap to open the trunk room partition.

Secure the partition hooks into holders until they latch.

If the trunk room partition hooks are not latched in the
holders, the hard top cannot be operated and
the C
h EC k SEPA r A t O r indicator will illuminate
on the vehicle information display located
between the tachometer and speedometer.
5.


Securely close the trunk before operating the hard top.

Move the shift lever to the

(automatic transmission) or move the shift lever to

EU tr AL ) position (manual transmission) and
apply the parking brake.

Start the engine.
3.


Press the hard top operating switch, located on the

center console, to OPEN or CLOSE and hold until the
top is fully positioned.

The

OOF OPEN or r OOF CLOSED indicator will display when the hard top is fully positioned.

To reduce driver distraction, movies will not be
shown on the front display while the vehicle is in
any drive position.
