NOTE:If the ignition switch does not change with the
push of a button, the key fob may have a low or dead
battery. In this situation, a back up method can be used
to operate the ignition switch. Put the nose side (side
opposite of the emergency key) of the key fob against
the ENGINE START/STOP button and push to operate
the ignition switch. The Keyless Push Button Ignition can be placed in the
following positions:
STOP
•
The engine is stopped.
• Some electrical devices (e.g. Central locking, alarm,
etc.) are still available.
RUN
• Driving position.
• All the electrical devices are available.
START
• Start the engine.
NOTE: The vehicle will not start if the key fob is located
inside the cargo area and the liftgate is opened.
WARNING!
• When leaving the vehicle, always remove the key
fob from the vehicle and lock your vehicle.
• Never leave children alone in a vehicle, or with
access to an unlocked vehicle.

REMOTE STARTING SYSTEM — IF EQUIPPED
This system uses the key fob to start the
engine conveniently from outside the vehicle
while still maintaining security. The system
has a range of 328 ft (100 m).

WARNING!
•Do not start or run an engine in a closed garage or
confined area. Exhaust gas contains Carbon Mon-
oxide (CO) which is odorless and colorless. Car-
bon Monoxide is poisonous and can cause serious
injury or death when inhaled.
• Keep key fobs away from children. Operation of
the Remote Start System, windows, door locks or
other controls could cause serious injury or death.
To Enter Remote Start Mode
Push and release the remote start button on
the key fob twice within five seconds. The
vehicle doors will lock, the turn signals will
flash, and the horn will chirp twice. Then, the
engine will start, and the vehicle will remain in the
Remote Start mode for a 15-minute cycle.
NOTE:
• If an engine fault is present or fuel level is low, the
vehicle will start and then shut down in 10 seconds.
• The park lamps will turn on and remain on during
remote start mode. •
For security, power window operation is disabled
when the vehicle is in the remote start mode.
To Exit Remote Start Mode Without Driving The
Vehicle
Push and release the remote start button one time or
allow the engine to run for the entire 15-minute cycle.
NOTE: To avoid unintentional shutdowns, the system
will disable with a one time push of the remote start
button for two seconds after receiving a valid remote
start request.
To Exit Remote Start Mode And Drive The
Vehicle
Before the end of 15-minute cycle, push and release the
unlock button on the key fob to unlock the doors and
disarm the vehicle security alarm (if equipped). Then,
prior to the end of the 15-minute cycle, for vehicles
equipped with the Keyless Enter-N-Go feature, push
and release the keyless ignition button.
NOTE: For vehicles equipped with the Keyless Enter-
N-Go feature, the message “Remote Start Active —
Push Start Button” will display in the instrument clus-
ter display until you push the keyless ignition button.

Central Lock/Unlock
A power door lock switch is located on each of the front
door trim panels. This switch is used to lock or unlock
the doors and liftgate.
Locking/Unlocking From The Inside
Push the lock button on the driver or passenger door
trim panel to lock the doors.
With the doors locked, push the unlock button to
unlock the doors.

NOTE:The liftgate Passive Entry lock button will only
lock the liftgate. The liftgate unlock feature is built into
the electronic liftgate release.
Activation/Deactivation Of Keyless Enter-N-Go
Keyless Enter-N-Go can be activated or deactivated
through the instrument cluster display or through the
Uconnect system.

Child Locks
To provide a safer environment for small children
riding in the rear seats, the rear doors are equipped with
a Child-Protection Door Lock system.
To use the system, open each rear door, use a flat blade
screwdriver (or ignition key) and rotate the dial to the
lock or unlock position. When the system on a door is
engaged, that door can only be opened by using the
outside door handle even if the inside door lock is in the
unlocked position.

NOTE:
•When the child lock system is engaged, the door can
only be opened by using the outside door handle
even though the inside door lock is in the unlocked
position.
• After disengaging the Child-Protection Door Lock
system, always test the door from the inside to make
certain it is in the desired position. •
After engaging the Child-Protection Door Lock sys-
tem, always test the door from the inside to make
certain it is in the desired position.
• For emergency exit with the system engaged, rotate
the lock button to the unlocked position, roll down
the window, and open the door with the outside door
handle.
WARNING!
Avoid trapping anyone in a vehicle in a collision.
Remember that the rear doors can only be opened
from the outside when the Child-Protection locks
are engaged.
