he   pressures   shown   on   the   label.
Driving
  with   under-inflated   tyres

ncreases   fuel   consumption.
The
  system   monitors   the   pressures   in   the   four  
t

yres,   once   the   vehicle   is   moving.
It
  compares   the   information   given   by   the   four  
w

heel speed sensors with reference values,
which must be reinitialised ever y time the
tyre pressures are adjusted or a wheel
changed .
The
  system   triggers   an   alert   as   soon   as   it  
d

etects a drop in the inflation pressure of one
or
  more   tyres.

Emergency braking assistance
System which, in an emergency, enables you to   obtain   the   optimum   braking   pressure   more  
q

uickly,   thus   reducing   the   stopping   distance.
Activation
It is triggered by the speed at which the brake pedal   is   pressed.
The effect of this is a reduction in the
resistance of the pedal and an increase in
braking
 e

fficiency.
When
  braking   in   an   emergency,   press

irmly   without   releasing   the   pressure.

Anti-slip regulation (ASR)
and electronic stability
programme (ESP)
The anti-slip regulation (also known as Traction Control)   optimises   traction   to   prevent   skidding

f   the   wheels,   by   acting   on   the   brakes   of   the

riving   wheels   and   on   the   engine.
The
  electronic   stability   programme   acts   on   the  
b

rake   of   one   or   more   wheels   and   on   the   engine  
t

o   keep   the   vehicle   on   the   trajectory   required  
b

y   the   driver,   within   the   limits   of   the   laws   of  
p

hysics.Activation
These systems are activated automatically each   time   the   vehicle   is   started.
They
  come   into   operation   in   the   event   of   a   grip

Safety

deactivation
In exceptional conditions (starting a vehicle which   is   bogged   down,   stuck   in   snow,   on   soft

round...),   it   may   be   advisable   to   deactivate   the

SR   and   ESP   systems,   so   that   the   wheels   can

ove   freely   and   regain   grip.

Active City Brake
Active City Brakeis a driving assistance system that   aims   to   avoid   a   frontal   collision   or   reduce

he   speed   of   an   impact   if   the   driver   does

ot   take   sufficient   action   (inadequate   brake

pplication).
This system is designed to improve driving safety.
I t   remains   the   driver's   responsibility   to c

ontinuously   monitor   the   state   of   the   traffic   and

o assess the distances and relative speeds of

Active City Brakecan in no circumstances replace   the   need   for   vigilance   on   the   part   of t

Safety

Its state is memorised when the ignition is switched   off.
