Protect your eyes and face beforehandling the battery. All operations on the battery must be carried out in a well ventilated areaaway from naked flames and sources of sparks, so as to avoid the risk of explosion and fire.Do not try to charge a frozen battery;the battery must first be thawed out toavoid the risk of explosion. If the batteryhas been frozen, before charging haveit checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop who will check thatthe internal components have not been damaged and the casing is not cracked,which could cause a leak of toxic andcorrosive acid.
Do not reverse the polarity and useonly a 12 V charger. Do not disconnect the terminals while the engine is running. Do not charge the batteries without disconnecting the terminals first. Wash your hands after wards.
Do not push the vehicle to star t the engine if you have an electronicgearbox or automatic gearbox.
Charging the battery using
a battery charger

Batteries contain harmful substances such as sulphuric acid and lead. They must bedisposed of in accordance with regulationsand must not, in any circumstances, be discarded with household waste. Ta k e used remote control batteries andvehicle batteries to a special collection point.
)Follow the instructions for use provided by
the manufacturer of the charger.

Do not disconnect the battery to charge it.

RACING towbar

Your vehicle cannot be fitted with a towbar. The space occupied by thesport diffuser prevents this.


Tyres
)
Check the tyre pressures of the towing
vehicle and of the trailer, obser ving the
recommended pressures.
Cooling
Towing a trailer on a slope increases the
temperature of the coolant.
As the fan is electrically controlled, its coolingcapacity is not dependent on the engine speed. )To lower the engine speed, reduce your
speed.
The maximum towed load on a long incline depends on the gradient and the ambient
temperature.
In all cases, keep a check on the coolant
temperature.
Braking
To w i ng a trailer increases the braking distance.
To avoid overheating of the brakes on a longmountain type of descent, the use of engine
braking is recommended.

Lighting

Check the electrical lighting and signallingon the trailer.
The rear parking sensors will bedeactivated automatically if a genuineCITROËN towbar is used.)
If the warning lamp and the
STOPwarning lamp come on,
stop the vehicle and switch off
the engine as soon as possible.

Opening

After unlocking the vehicle using the
remote control or the key, press the
opening control and raise the boot lid.



Closing



)
Lower the boot lid by pressing on the
middle of its finisher.
If the boot is not closed correctly:


-

when the engine is running
, this
warning lamp comes on, accompanied
by a message on the multifunction
screen for a few seconds,

- when the vehicle is moving
(speed above
6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning lamp comes
on, accompanied by an audible signal and
a message in the multifunction screen for a
few seconds.


It is strongly recommended not to lower
the boot lid by pressing on either end.


If the boot is not fully closed, opening
the roof in zone B
is not possible.
Check that the boot is fully closed.
