Locking the vehicle

Locking using the remote control

Locking is confirmed by fixed lighting of
the direction indicators for approximatelytwo seconds.
According to version, the door mirrors fold at
the same time.
) Press the closed padlock to lockthe vehicle.

If one of the doors or the boot is still open, the central locking does not take place. When the vehicle is locked, if it is unlocked inadvertently, it will relock automatically after thir ty seconds unless a door or the boot is open.
The folding and unfolding of the door mirrors using the remote control can be deactivated by a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.



Folding the key
)
First press this button to fold the key.


Locking using the key
)Turn the key to the right in the driver's door lock to lock the vehicle completely.

If you do not press the button when folding the key, there is a risk of damage to the mechanism.

The red indicator lamp on the button comes on.
Unlocking

If the vehicle is locked from the outside,the red indicator lamp flashes andbutton A
is inactive.)In this case, use the remote control or the key to unlock the vehicle.



Automatic central
locking

System which provides full automatic locking or unlocking of the doors and the boot while
driving.
You can activate or deactivate this function.


Locking

When the speed exceeds 6 mph (10 km/h), the doors and the boot lock automatically.

Unlocking
)
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), press button Ato
unlock the doors and the boot temporarily.
If one of the doors is open, theautomatic central locking does not take place.
If the boot is open, the automatic central locking of the doors is active.Driving with the doors locked can makeaccess more difficult for the emergencyservices in the event an emergency.

)Press button Afor more than two seconds.
A confirmation message appears on themultifunction screen, accompanied by an audible signal.
Deactivation
)Press button Aagain for more than
two seconds.
A confirmation message appears on themultifunction screen, accompanied by an audible signal.

To lock or unlock the doors mechanically in the
event of a central locking system failure or flatbattery.
Emergency control


Locking the driver's door

Inser t the key in the lock, then turn it to the
right.

Unlocking the driver's door
)
Inser t the key in the lock, then turn it to theleft.


Locking the passenger's door
)Remove the black cap, on the edge of the
door, using the key. )Inser t the key in the cavity, then turn it fully. )Remove the key and refit the cap.



Unlocking the passenger's door
)Pull the interior door opening control.
In the event of a fault with the central locking system, you must disconnectthe battery to lock the boot and soensure the complete locking of thevehicle.

Driving with the doors locked may make access more difficult for the emergency services in an emergency.

LED lamps
This daytime lighting, a signature of the vehicle, comprises two sets of light-emitting diodes (LEDs),located in ver tical cutouts below each headlamp.

On star ting the vehicle, in daylight the LED
lamps come on automatically, if the lighting
stalk is in position "0"or "AUTO".
If the sidelamps and headlamps are switched
on manually or automatically, the LED lampsswitch off.
For countries where exterior lighting by day is not a legal requirement, you can activate or deactivate the function via the multifunction
screen configuration menu.





Headlamp
adjustment
To avoid causing a nuisance to other road
users, the height of the headlamps should be
adjusted in relation to the load in the vehicle.
0.Driver only or driver + front passenger. - . Intermediate setting
1. 5 people. -. 5 people + load in the boot.2.Driver only + maximum authorised load in
the boot.
This position is sufficient to avoid causing dazzle. Higher settings may limit the spread of lightfrom the headlamps.

The initial setting is position "0"
.
Programming
In countries where it is a legalrequirement:- this function is activated by default and cannot be deactivated,- in daylight, the sidelamps and number plate lamps also come on, - If the sidelamps or headlampsare switched on manually or automatically, the LED lamps switch off.For versions not fitted with LED lamps, it is the dipped beam headlamps thatcome on automatically on star ting the vehicle.

Interior mood lighting The dimmed passenger compar tment lighting improves visibility in the vehicle when the lightis poor.


Switching on
At night, the illumination of footwells and thecentral dashboard storage compar tment comes
on automatically when the sidelamps areswitched on.
Switching off
The interior mood lighting switches off automatically when the sidelamps areswitched off.
It can be switched off manually using the instrument panel lighting rheostat button. ) With the lighting on, press several times on
the left hand button of the instrument panel
to progressively reduce the dashboard lighting level. ) Press again to reduce the lighting level
to the minimum and switch off the interior
mood lighting.

This comes on automatically when the boot is opened and goes off automatically when the boot is closed.




Boot lamp
The lighting time varies according to the circumstances:


- when the ignition is off, approximately ten minutes, -in energy economy mode, approximatelythirty seconds,-when the engine is running, no limit.
