Displays the driving range, average fuel consumption and other cruis-
ing related information. The display can be switched by pressing the
display change button/“DISP” switch.

Trip information
Displays the total distance the vehicle has
been driven.
Press and hold the display change button/“DISP”
switch switches the display to Eco Driving Indi-

Displays the distance the vehicle has been
driven since the meter was last reset. Trip
meters A and B can be used to record and dis-
play different distances independently.
Press and hold the display change button/“DISP”

Displays the amount of time the engine was
stopped due to the operation of the Stop &
Start system during the current trip (from when
the engine was started until it is turned off).
Displays the total amount of time that the
engine has been stopped due to the operation

Driving range
Meter light control displayDisplays the average fuel consumption since
the function was reset.
• Press and hold the display change button/
“DISP” switch to reset.
• Use the displayed average fuel consumption as
a reference.
• Vehicles with a Multidrive: While the average
fuel consumption is being displayed, Eco Driv-
ing Indicator Zone Display is displayed.
Displays the estimated maximum distance that
can be driven with the quantity of fuel remain-
ing.
• This distance is computed based on your aver-
age fuel consumption. As a result, the actual
distance that can be driven may differ from that
displayed.
• When only a small amount of fuel is added to
the tank, the display may not be updated.
When refueling, turn the engine switch off. If the
vehicle is refueled without turning the engine
switch off, the display may not be updated.
Displays the meter light control display.
• Press and hold the display change button/
“DISP” switch to reset will adjust the brightness
of the meter light when the tail lights are on.
• This screen is only displayed when the tail
lights are on.

Vehicles with a smart entry & start system
The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode.
When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals
The following information data will be reset:

CAUTION
The information display at low temperatures
Allow the interior of the vehicle to warm up before using the liquid crystal
information display. At extremely low temperatures, the display monitor may
respond slowly, and display changes may be delayed.
For example, there is a lag between the driver’s shifting and the new gear
number appearing on the display. This lag could cause the driver to down-
shift again, causing rapid and excessive engine braking and possibly an
accident resulting in death or injury.
Cautions during setting up the display
As the engine needs to be running during setting up the display, ensure that
the vehicle is parked in a place with adequate ventilation. In a closed area
such as a garage, exhaust gases including harmful carbon monoxide (CO)
may collect and enter the vehicle. This may lead to death or a serious
health hazard.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to the engine and its components
Do not let the indicator needle of the tachometer enter the red zone, which
indicates the maximum engine speed.
The engine may be overheating if the high engine coolant temperature
warning light comes on. In this case, immediately stop the vehicle in a safe
place, and check the engine after it has cooled completely. (P. 561)

It is possible to customize the language, units and Eco Driving Indica-
tor Light settings using the “DISP” button/“DISP” switch.
When customizing vehicle features, ensure that the vehicle is parked
in a safe place with the shift position in P and the parking brake set.

the “DISP” button/“DISP” switch to select “EXIT”, and then press and
hold the “DISP” button/“DISP” switch.

Small spots or light spots may appear on the display. This phenomenon is
characteristic of liquid crystal displays, and there is no problem continuing to
use the display.

When a message appears.
When the vehicle begins to move.

Driving
Cruise control can be set when
The shift lever is in the D or gear step 4 or higher of M has been selected.
(Multidrive)
Gear step 4 or higher of D has been selected by using the paddle shift.
(vehicles with a paddle shift switch)
Vehicle speed is above approximately 40 km/h (25 mph).
Accelerating after setting the vehicle speed
The vehicle can be accelerated normally. After acceleration, the set speed
resumes.
Even without canceling the cruise control, the set speed can be increased
by first accelerating the vehicle to the desired speed and then pushing the
lever down to set the new speed.
Automatic cruise control cancelation
Cruise control will stop maintaining the vehicle speed in any of the following
situations.
Actual vehicle speed falls more than approximately 16 km/h (10 mph) below
the preset vehicle speed.
At this time, the memorized set speed is not retained.
Actual vehicle speed is below approximately 40 km/h (25 mph).
VSC is activated.
Speed limiter is activated. (if equipped)
If the cruise control indicator light comes on in yellow (vehicles without
a multi-information display) or warning message for the cruise control is
shown on the multi-information display (vehicles with a multi-informa-
tion display)
Press the “ON-OFF” button once to deactivate the system, and then press
the button again to reactivate the system.
If the cruise control speed cannot be set or if the cruise control cancels imme-
diately after being activated, there may be a malfunction in the cruise control
system. Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Toyota dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.
