Press one of the Soft/Auto/Fast buttons toreturn to fully automatic operation.
On entering the vehicle, if the interior temperature is much colder or warmer than the comfort value, there is noneed to change the value displayed in order to obtain the comfor t required. The system corrects the differencein temperature automatically and as quickly as possible.
See "Front demisting-defrosting". Press this button to apply the driver's
comfort setting value to the front and
rear passengers (mono-zone). The
indicator lamp on the button comes on.
The air conditioning is designed to
operate effectively in all seasons,
with the windows closed.
It allows you:
-
in summer, to lower the temperature,
- in winter, above 3°C, to improve demisting
performance.
Switchin
g onF Press the "A/C"button, the associated green indicator lamp comes on. The air conditioning does not operate when
the air flow control is set to off.
Switching offF Press the "A/C"button again, the
associated green indicator lamp goes off.
Switching off the air conditioning may result in
some discomfort (humidity, misting).
For maximum cooling or heating of thepassenger compar tment, it is possibleto exceed the minimum value 14 or themaximum value 28. F
Turn the dial 3
or 4
to the left until"LO"is displayed or to the right until "HI"
is displayed.

Programmable heating
mode
This is an additional and separate system
which heats the engine hot water circuit
to improve defrosting and to preheat thepassenger compartment.
This indicator lam

steering mounted thumb wheel for access to
the main menu.
Programming
F In the "Main menu", select "Pre-heating /

Programmable Ventilation
mode
This mode allows ventilation of the passenger compartment with exterior air to improve the
temperature experienced on entering the
vehicle in summer.

Comfort
FSelect:
- immediate to star t the heating or
ventilation (once confirmed "OK"),
- the first clock to programme/store your departure time,
- the second clock to programme/store a
second depar ture time.
Depending on the depar ture time chosen, the system calculates automatically the optimum
time to star t operating.
The immediate or programmedactivation of Ventilation mode depends on the temperatures inside and outsidethe vehicle.
Always switch off the programmableheating while refuelling to avoid any riskof fire or explosion.
To avoid the risk of intoxication andasphyxiation, the programmable heating must not be used, even for shor t periods, in an enclosed area such as a garage or workshop not equipped with exhaust gas extraction.
Do not park the vehicle on an inflammable surface (dry grass, dead leaves, paper

Driving advice
Distribution of loads
FDistribute the load in the trailer so that theheaviest items are as close as possible to
the axle and the nose weight approaches
the maximum permitted without
excee
ding it.
Air density decreases with altitude, thus reducingengine performance. Above 1 000 metres, the maximum towed load must be reduced by 10 %
for every 1 000 metres of altitude.
Side wind
FTake into account the increased sensitivity
to side wind.
Cooling
To w i ng a trailer on a slope increases the
temperature of the coolant.
As the fan is electricall
y controlled, its cooling capacity is not dependent on the engine speed.
F
To lower the engine speed, reduce your speed.
The maximum towed load on a long incline
depends on the
gradient and the ambient
temperature.
In all cases, keep a check on the coolant
temperature.
FIf the warning lamp and the
STOP warning lamp come on, stop the vehicle and switch off
the engine as soon as possible.
Braking
To w i ng a trailer increases the braking distance.
To avoid overheating of the brakes on a longmountain type of descent, the use of engine braking is recommended.
Tyres
F
Check the tyre pressures of the towingvehicle and of the trailer, obser ving the recommended pressures.
Lighting
F
Check the electrical lighting and signalling on the trailer.
The rear parking sensors will be deactivated automatically if a genuine PEUGEOT towbar is used.
R
efer to the "Technical Data" section for details
of the weights and towed loads which apply to your vehicle.
