Locking the vehicle

Using the key
F
Turn the key towards the rear of the vehicle
to lock the vehicle completely.
Using the remote control
FPress the closed padlock to lockthe vehicle completely.
Using the electronic key
FWith the electronic key in the defined zone,
press with a finger on the door handle (at
the markings) to lock the vehicle. FFrom the boot (SW only), with theelectronic key in the defined zone, press a button to lock the vehicle.
Maintaining the locking action (remote control or manual key) automatically closes the windows and sunroof.
Contact a PEUGEOT for deactivation of this function.
As a safety measure (children on board), never leave the vehicle withouttaking your key, even for a shor t period. Guard against theft when the electronickey is in the defined zone with the vehicle unlocked.
Locking is confirmed by fixedlighting of the direction indicators for approximately two seconds.
According to version, the door mirrorsfold at the same time.
It is not possible to lock the vehicle if an electronic key is left inside the vehicleor if the ignition is on.
If one of the doors or the boot is still open or if an electronic key has been left inside the vehicle, the centrallocking does not take place.
When the vehicle is locked, if it isunlocked inadvertently, it will relockautomatically after about thir ty secondsunless a door is opened.
The folding and unfolding of the door mirrors by the remote control can bedeactivated by a PEUGEOT dealer.

Locking/ unlocking from the inside
Automatic central locking of
the doors
The doors can lock automatically while driving(speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)).
To activate or deactivate this function, press
and hold the button until a message appears in
the screen.
If the vehicle is deadlocked, the buttonis not active. In this case, use the key or the remote control to unlock.
Driving with the doors locked may make access to the passenger compar tment by the emergency ser vices more difficult in an emergency.

Press the closed padlock to locate your locked vehicle in acar park.
Locating your vehicle

Press the button.
This allows the doors and the boot to be locked or unlocked. This is indicated b
y lighting of the cour tesy
lamps and flashing of the direction indicatorsfor a few seconds.
When carrying large objects with the boot open, you can press this button toinhibit the boot open aler t signal. Whenlocking from inside, the door mirrors do not fold.

Access
System which protects and provides a deterrent
against theft and break-ins. It provides the
following types of monitoring:
Alarm
- Exterior perimeter
The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to open a
door, the boot or the bonnet...
- Interior volumetric
The system checks for any variation in the
volume in the passenger compartment.
The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks a
window, enters the passenger compar tment or moves inside the vehicle.
- Tilt
The system checks for any change in the attitude of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if the vehicle is lifted,
moved or knocked.
Self-protection function
The system checks for the putting out of ser vice of its components. The alarm is triggered if the battery, thecentral control unit or the wires of thesiren are put out of service or damaged.
For all work on the alarm system, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.
Locking the vehicle with full
alarm system
Activation
FSwitch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.
F
Press the locking button on the
remote control or lock the vehicle
using the Keyless Entry and Starting system. The monitorin
g system is active: the indicator
lamp on the button flashes once per second.
After the locking button on the remote control is pressed or the vehicle locked using the
Ke
yless Entry and Starting system, the exterior
perimeter monitoring is activated after a delay of 5 seconds, the interior volumetric monitoring
after 45 seconds and anti-tilt monitoring after 90 seconds.
If an opening (door, boot...) is not closed fully, the vehicle is not locked but the exterior
perimeter monitoring will be activated after a
delay of 45 seconds.
F Press the unlocking button on
the remote control or unlock the
vehicle using the Keyless Entryand Star ting system.
Deactivation of the volumetric monitoring
The volumetric protection system is
deactivated: the indicator lamp in the
button goes off.

Deactivate the interior volumetric and anti-liftmonitoring to avoid unwanted triggering of thealarm in certain cases such as:
- leaving a window par tially open,
- washing your vehicle,
- changing a wheel,
- having your vehicle towed,
- transportation by sea.
Deactivation of the interior volumetric and anti-tilt monitoring

Switch of the ignition and within
ten seconds, press this button
until the indicator lamp is on
continuously.F Get out of the vehicle.

Press the locking button on
the remote control immediatelyor lock the vehicle using the Keyless Entry and Starting system.
The exterior perimeter monitoring alone is activated: the indicator lamp in the button
flashes once per second.

out each time the ignition is switched off.
Reactivation of the interior volumetric and anti-tilt monitoring
Tr iggering of the alarm
This is indicated by sounding of the siren
and flashing of the direction indicators for
thirty seconds.
The monitoring functions remain active until
the alarm has been triggered eleven times in succession.
FPress the unlocking button on
the remote control or unlock thevehicle using the Keyless Entry and Starting system to deactivate
the exterior perimeter monitoring.
F Press the locking button on theremote control or lock the vehicle
using the Keyless Entry and Starting system to activate all the monitoring functions.
The indicator lamp in the button
again flashes once per second.
When the vehicle is unlocked usingthe remote control or unlockedusing the Keyless Entry and Starting
system, rapid flashing of the indicator lamp in the button informs you that the alarm
was triggered during your absence. When
the ignition is switched on, this flashing stopsimmediately.
Failure of the remote control
To deactivate the monitoring functions:

Unlock the vehicle using the key in thedriver's door lock. F
Open the door; the alarm is triggered.F
Switch on the ignition; the alarm stops. The
indicator lamp in the button switches off.
Locking the vehicle without
activating the alarm
F
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using the keyin the driver's door lock.
Operating fault
When the ignition is switched on, fixed
illumination of the indicator lamp in the button
indicates a fault in the system.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

2 minutes after the last door or the boot isclosed, the system is activated automatically. F
To avoid triggering the alarm on entering

obstacle to closing causes the tailgate to stop
and rise a few centimetres automatically.
To close the tailgate manually: move the
tailgate slightly up then down to disengage it
from its drive then lower it until closed.
To avoid the risk of injury, ensure
that no one is close to the rear of thevehicle when opening or closing thetailgate.
While electric opening or closing of the tailgateis in progress, you can stop its movement atany time:

The maximum opening height of the tailgate can be set and memorised (restricted overheadclearance, ...).
This memorisation is done in two steps, by
successive presses on button C:
- during opening, a first press stops the
tailgate at the desired height,
- a second maintained press memorises the
position of the tailgate; an audible signal confirms the memorisation.
To delete this memorisation, make a newmaintained press until the audible signal isheard.
"Boot open" warning
With the engine running or when the vehicle is
moving, if the tailgate is not properly closed,
a message accompanied by an audible signal
(from 6 mph (10 km/h)) is displayed in the
instrument panel screen.

Outer rear seat head restraints
These have a high position (comfor t and safety), a low position (rear visibility) and canalso be removed.

o remove a head restraint:Fpull the head restraint fully upwards, Fthen, press the lug A .
Never drive with rear passengers whenthe head restraints are removed; thehead restraints must be in place and in the high position.
Folding the seat from
the boot

Check that nothing is preventing the seat
back from folding (head restraint, seat
belts, ...),F check also that no object on or under theseat could hinder its movement,
F
pull the control from the boot and push the seat backrest.

Each section of the bench seat (1/3 or 2/3) has
its own control to release the seat back and its
seat cushion from the boot.
