5-2. Steps to take in an emergency

Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.
A buzzer sounds and a warning message is shown on the multi-informa-
tion display. Failure to investigate the cause of the following warnings may
lead to the system operating abnormally and possibly cause an accident.

Indicates that the automatic transmission fluid tem-
perature is too high
Stop the vehicle in a safe place, shift the shift lever to
P and wait until the message goes off. If the message
goes off, you may start the vehicle again.
Indicates a malfunction in the automatic transmission
system
Indicates a malfunction in the steering lock system

●When the vehicle ahead is traveling at a very low speed
●Immediately after cruise control speed is set
●At the instant the accelerator pedal is depressed

Customizable features
Customizing vehicle featuresIt is possible to customize certain vehicle features using the menu switch
and the “ENTER” switch.

When customizing vehicle features, ensu re that the vehicle is parked in a
safe place with the shift lever in P and the parking brake set.
Press and hold the menu switch to
display customization mode.
Your vehicle includes a variety of elec tronic features that can be personal-
ized to suit your preferences. Programming these preferences requires
specialized equipment and may be performed by your Lexus dealer.
It is also possible to customize certain vehicle features yourself using the
menu switch and the “ENTER” switch or the screen of the navigation sys-
tem.
Some function settings are changed simultaneously with other func-
tions being customized. Contact your Lexus dealer for further details.
