Heating
Temperature adjustment
)
Press one of these buttons,or move the cursor from blue (cold) to red (hot) to adjust the
temperature to your wishes.
Air flow adjustment
) Press one of these buttons toincrease or decrease the speedof the booster fan.


Air distribution adjustment
The intake of exterior air prevents and eliminates misting of the windscreen and side
windows.

than one button.
Each press of a button activates or deactivates
th
e function.

The indicator lamp is on when the button is activated. For an even distribution of air in the passenger compar tment, the three buttons can
be activated simultaneously.


Air intake / Air recirculation
)
Press this button to recirculate
the interior air. The indicator lamp
in the button comes on.) Press the button again to allow
the intake of exterior air. This is confirmed by the indicator lamp going off.



Avoid driving for too long withoutventilation (risk of misting and deterioration of air quality).
The heatin
g system works only when theengine is running.
Press the button for the " Air conditioning"menu to display the page for the system
controls. The s
ymbol for air flow (a fan) fills progressively
according to the air flow setting made.
By reducing the air flow to the minimum, you
are stopping ventilation of the passenger
compartment.

Rear screen demist - defrost

) Press this button to demist/defrost
the rear screen and (depending
on version) the door mirrors. The
indicator lamp associated with the
button comes on.

The demisting/defrosting switches off automatically
to prevent an excessive consumption of current.
The rear screen demist - defrostcan only operate when the engine isrunning.


Switch off the heating of the rear screen and door mirrors as soon as you judgeit possible, as reducing the consumption of electrical current reduces fuel consumption.
)
It is possible to stop the demisting/defrosting operation before it is switched off automatically by pressing the button again. The
indicator lamp associated with the
button switches off.

Driving advice


Distribution of loads
)Distribute the load in the trailer so that theheaviest items are as close as possible to
the axle and the nose weight approaches the maximum permitted without exceeding it.

Air density decreases with altitude, thus
reducing engine performance. Above
1 000 metres, the maximum towed load must
be reduced b
y 10 % for every 1 000 metres of altitude.

Side wind
)Take into account the increased sensitivity
to side wind.
Cooling
To w i ng a trailer on a slope increases the
temperature of the coolant.
As the fan is electricall
y controlled, its cooling capacity is not dependent on the engine speed.
)
To lower the engine speed, reduce your speed.
The maximum towed load on a long incline
depends on the
gradient and the ambient
temperature.
In all cases, keep a check on the coolant
temperature.
) If the warning lamp and the
STOPwarning lamp come on, stop the vehicle and switch off
the engine as soon as possible.



Braking

To w i ng a trailer increases the braking distance.
To avoid overheating of the brakes on a long
mountain type of descent, the use of enginebraking is recommended.

Tyres
)
Check the tyre pressures of the towingvehicle and of the trailer, obser ving the
recommended pressures.



Lighting
)
Check the electrical lighting and signalling on the trailer.

The rear parking sensors will be
deactivated automatically if a genuineCITROËN towbar is used.

When not towing a trailer, remove thequickly-detachable tow ball beforedriving.
