headlamps







Automatic adjustment of xenon headlamps
To avoid causing a nuisance to other road users,
the height of the halogen headlamps should be adjusted according to the load in the vehicle. 0.1 or 2 people in the front seats. -.Intermediate setting. 1. 5 people + maximum authorised load. -.Intermediate setting. 2.
Driver + maximum authorised load. -.Intermediate setting. 3.
5 people + maximum load in the boot.

The initial setting is position "0".
If a fault occurs, this warning lamp is displayedin the instrument panel,
accompanied by an audible signal and a
message in the instrument panel screen.
The s
ystem then places your headlamps in the lowest position.
In order to avoid causing a nuisance to other road users, this system corrects the height of the
xenon headlamps beam automatically and when
stationary, in relation to the load in the vehicle.

If a fault occurs, do not touch the xenonbulbs. Contact a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.

Changing a bulb

For H7 type bulbs with lugs... take care to observe their correct installation so asto ensure the best lighting performance.

In some weather conditions (e.g. low temperature or humidity), the presence of misting on the internal surface of the glass of the headlamps and rear lampsis normal; it disappears after the lamps have been on for a few minutes.


Risk of electrocution

Xenon bulbs (D1S-35W) must bereplaced by a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.

) Remove the protective plastic cover by
pulling on the tab.) Remove the connector with the bulb bypressing on the lug at the bottom. )
Remove the bulb and change it.
For reassembly, carry out these operations in reverse order.
The headlamps are fitted withpolycarbonate glass with a protectivecoating:)do not clean them using a dryor abrasive cloth, nor with adetergent or solvent product,)use a sponge and soapy water, )when using a high pressure washer on persistent marks, do not keepthe lance directed towards thelamps or their edges for too long,so as not to damage their protectivecoating and seals,)do not touch the bulb directly withyour fingers, use lint-free cloths.


Changing a bulb should only be doneafter the headlamp has been switched off for a few minutes (risk of serious burns).
It is imperative to use only anti-ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs in order not
to damage the headlamp. Always replace a failed bulb with a new bulb with the same type andspecification.
Dipped beam headlamps(xenon model)

D1S xenon bulbs must be changedby a CITROËN dealer or a qualifiedworkshop, as there is a risk of electrocution.
It is recommended that the D1S bulbsare changed at the same time when one of them fails.

Press on the top of the connector thenpivot the assembly downwards. )
Remove the connector with the bulb.)
Remove the bulb and change it.
For reassembly, carry out these operations in
reverse order, but engaging the bottom of thebulb first.

or a qualified workshop.

A replacement kit for the LEDs is available fromCITROËN dealers.
Direction indicators
Faster flashing of a direction indicator warning lamp (left or right) indicates a failed bulb on that side.

The direction indicator bulb is located below the front lamp.) Turn the bulb holder a quar ter turn and pull
it out.) Remove the bulb and change it.
For reassembly, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
You can also contact a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop for the replacement of thesebulbs.

Turn the bulb a quarter of a turn, withdraw
and change it.
