The foglamps operate with dipped and main beam headlamps.
Front and rear foglamps
Rotate and release the ring: )forwards a first time to switch on the frontfoglamps, )forwards a second time to switch on therear foglamps,
)rearwards a first time to switch off the rear
foglamps, )rearwards a second time to switch of the front fog lamps. When the headlamps switch off with automatic
illumination of headlamps
(AUTO model) or

) Turn the ring rear wards to switch off the foglamps, the sidelamps will then switchoff.
In good or rainy weather, both day and night, the front foglamps and the rear foglamps are prohibited. In these situations, the power of their beams may dazzle other drivers. They shouldonly be used in fog or snow.
In these weather conditions, it is your responsibility to switch on the foglamps and dipped headlamps manually as the sunshine sensor may detect sufficientlight.
Do not forget to switch off the front foglamps and the rear foglamps when they are no longer needed.

Lighting left on audible signal
An audible signal when a front door
is opened warns the driver that the vehicle's exterior lighting is on, with theignition off and in manual lighting mode.
In this case, switching off the lighting stops the audible signal.
With the ignition off, if the dipped headlamps remain on, the vehicle goes into "ECO" mode to avoid discharging the battery.
In some weather conditions (e.g. low temperature or humidity), the presence of misting on the internal sur face of theglass of the headlamps and rear lampsis normal; it disappears after the lamps have been on for a few minutes.
The daytime runninglamps can be activated and deactivated via the configuration menu.
The lighting goes off when you switchoff the ignition, but you can always switch it on again using the lighting control stalk.
Daytime running lamps
(LEDs)
They come on when the engine is star ted.
Depending on the country of sale or whererequired by regulations, they are used for:
- daytime running lamps in day mode andsidelamps in night mode (they are brighter
when daytime running lamps), or
- sidelamps in day and night mode.

pulling on the tab. ) Remove the connector with the bulb bypressing on the lug at the bottom. )
Remove the bulb and change it.
For reassembly, carry out these operations in reverse order.
The headlamps are fitted withpolycarbonate glass with a protectivecoating: )do not clean them using a dryor abrasive cloth, nor with adetergent or solvent product, )use a sponge and soapy water, )when using a high pressure washer on persistent marks, do not keepthe lance directed towards thelamps or their edges for too long,so as not to damage their protectivecoating and seals, )do not touch the bulb directly withyour fingers, use lint-free cloths.
Changing a bulb should only be doneafter the headlamp has been switched off for a few minutes (risk of serious burns).
It is imperative to use only anti-ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs in order not
to damage the headlamp. Always replace a failed bulb with a new bulb with the same type andspecification.
Dipped beam headlamps(xenon model)
D1S xenon bulbs must be changedby a CITROËN dealer or a qualifiedworkshop, as there is a risk of electrocution.
It is recommended that the D1S bulbsare changed at the same time when one of them fails.

Load reduction mode
System which manages the use of certainfunctions according to the level of charge
remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the load
reduction function temporarily deactivates cer tain functions, such as the air conditioning,
the heated rear screen...
The deactivated functions are reactivated
automatically as soon as conditions permit.
System which manages the duration of use of
certain functions to conserve a sufficient level
of charge in the battery.
After the engine has stopped, you canstill use functions such as the audio and
telematics system, windscreen wipers, dipped
beam headlamps, cour tes
y lamps, etc. for a maximum combined duration of about forty minutes.
Energy economy mode
Switching to economy mode
A message then appears in the instrument panel screen indicating that the vehicle has
switched to economy mode and the active
functions are put on standby.
If a telephone call is being made at this time,it will be maintained for around 10 minutes with
the Bluetooth hands-free system of your audio
system.
Exiting economy mode
These functions are reactivated automatically
next time the vehicle is driven. ) In order to resume the use of thesefunctions immediately, star t the engine and
let it run:
- for less than ten minutes, to use
the equipment for approximatelyfive minutes,
- for more than ten minutes, to use theequipment for up to approximately
thirty minutes.
Let the engine run for the duration specified toensure that the battery charge is sufficient.
Do not repeatedly and continuously restar t theengine in order to charge the battery.
A flat battery prevents the engine from star ting (refer to the "Battery" section).
