Exterior welcome
lighting
The remote switching on of the lighting makesyour approach to the vehicle easier in poor
light. It is activated according to the level of
light detected by the sunshine sensor.

The exterior welcome lighting switches off
automatically after a set time, when the ignitionis switched on or on locking the vehicle.
Programming

The lighting duration is selected via
the vehicle configuration menu.
The duration of the welcome lighting isassociated with and identical to that of the automatic guide-me-home lighting.) Press the open padlock on the
remote control or the door handlewith Keyless Entry and Starting.

Switching on
The spotlamps come on:


- when you unlock the vehicle,

- when
you remove the electronic key from
the reader,

- when
you open a door,

- when you use the remote control.



Switching off

They are timed to go off automatically. To m a k e
your approach to the vehicle easier,
these illuminate:


- the zones facing the driver’s andpassenger’s doors,

- the zones forward of the door mirrors and
rearward of the front doors.
The dipped beam headlamps and the sidelamps come on; your vehicle is also unlocked.

Automatic adjustment of xenon headlamps
To avoid causing a nuisance to other road users,
the height of the halogen headlamps should be adjusted according to the load in the vehicle. 0.1 or 2 people in the front seats. -.Intermediate setting. 1. 5 people + maximum authorised load. -.Intermediate setting. 2.
Driver + maximum authorised load. -.Intermediate setting. 3.
5 people + maximum load in the boot.

The initial setting is position "0".
If a fault occurs, this warning lamp is displayedin the instrument panel,
accompanied by an audible signal and a
message in the instrument panel screen.
The s
ystem then places your headlamps in the lowest position.
In order to avoid causing a nuisance to other road users, this system corrects the height of the
xenon headlamps beam automatically and when
stationary, in relation to the load in the vehicle.

If a fault occurs, do not touch the xenonbulbs. Contact a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.

When the dipped or main beam headlamps
are on, this
function, allows the light beams to better follow the road.
The use of this function, coupled with the
xenon headlamps and the cornerin
g lighting,considerably improves the quality of your

Operating fault
The system is activated or deactivated in the vehicle configuration menu.
The system is activated by default.
The state of the system stays inmemory on switching off the ignition.


This function is inactive:


- when stationary or at low speeds,

- when reverse is engaged.

Rear wiper
If a significant accumulation of snowor ice is present, or when using a bicycle carrier on the boot, deactivatethe automatic rear wiper via theconfiguration menu.

When reverse gear is engaged, the rear wiper
will come into operation if the windscreen
wipers are operating.

Changing a bulb

For H7 type bulbs with lugs... take care to observe their correct installation so asto ensure the best lighting performance.

In some weather conditions (e.g. low temperature or humidity), the presence of misting on the internal surface of the glass of the headlamps and rear lampsis normal; it disappears after the lamps have been on for a few minutes.


Risk of electrocution

Xenon bulbs (D1S-35W) must bereplaced by a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.

) Remove the protective plastic cover by
pulling on the tab.) Remove the connector with the bulb bypressing on the lug at the bottom. )
Remove the bulb and change it.
For reassembly, carry out these operations in reverse order.
The headlamps are fitted withpolycarbonate glass with a protectivecoating:)do not clean them using a dryor abrasive cloth, nor with adetergent or solvent product,)use a sponge and soapy water, )when using a high pressure washer on persistent marks, do not keepthe lance directed towards thelamps or their edges for too long,so as not to damage their protectivecoating and seals,)do not touch the bulb directly withyour fingers, use lint-free cloths.


Changing a bulb should only be doneafter the headlamp has been switched off for a few minutes (risk of serious burns).
It is imperative to use only anti-ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs in order not
to damage the headlamp. Always replace a failed bulb with a new bulb with the same type andspecification.
Dipped beam headlamps(xenon model)

D1S xenon bulbs must be changedby a CITROËN dealer or a qualifiedworkshop, as there is a risk of electrocution.
It is recommended that the D1S bulbsare changed at the same time when one of them fails.
