locking of the vehicle using the lock or from adistance. It is also used to locate and start thevehicle, as well as providing protection against
theft.
This settin
g is done in the configuration menu.
Complete unlocking is activated bydefault.


Unlocking is confirmed by rapid flashing of the direction indicators for around two seconds.
At the same time, depending onversion, the door mirrors unfold.

Locking the vehicle


Locking is confirmed by fixed lighting of the direction indicators for approximately two seconds.
The door mirrors fold at the same time.
)To u n l o c k o n ly the driver's door,press the open padlock once.)Press the closed padlock to lock
the vehicle completely. Hold the button down until the
windows close completely.

Press this button until you hear

e boot unlock.




Be aware of children when operatingthe windows.

) To unlock the other doors and the boot,
press the open padlock again.

Locking the vehicle
)With the electronic key in the definedzone A , press with a finger on one of the
door handles (at the markings) to lock the
vehicle.
Maintain pressure with your finger until the
windows close completely.
Locking is confirmed by fixed lighting of the direction indicators for approximately two seconds.The door mirrors fold at the same time.
If one of the doors or the boot is still open or if the key for Keyless Entry and Starting has been left inside the vehicle,the central locking does not take place. When the vehicle is locked, if it isunlocked inadvertently, it will lock itself again automatically after about thir ty seconds unless a door is opened.
The folding and unfolding of the door mirrors by the remote control can bedeactivated by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

As a safety measure (children onboard), never leave the vehicle without taking the key for the Keyless Entry andStarting system, even for a shor t period.Guard against theft when the key for the Keyless Entry and Starting systemis in the defined zone with the vehicle unlocked.In order to preser ve the charge of the cell battery in the remote control, the"hands-free" functions go into extended stand-by after 21 days of non-use. To restore these functions, press one of the remote control buttons or start theengine with the electronic key in the reader.

Ensure that no one prevents the correct operation of the windows.Be aware of children when operatingthe windows.

Central locking control
Automatic central locking of the
doors
(anti-intrusion security)
The doors and boot can lock automatically while driving (speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)).
To activate or deactivate this function (activated
by default:
If the vehicle is deadlocked or locked from the outside, the button is not active. In this case, use the remote control to unlock the vehicle or pull an interior door handle to open a door.
If one of the doors is open, central locking from the inside does not take place.
Driving with the doors locked may make access to the passenger compar tment by the emergency ser vices more
difficult in an emergency.

This allows the doors and the boot to be locked or unlocked. This is indicated b
y lighting of the cour tesy

Transporting long or voluminousobjects
If you want to drive with the boot open,press the central locking control button to lock the doors.

Press this button until the boot is heard to unlock.

Tailgate release

System allowing the mechanical unlocking of
the boot in the event of a battery or central
locking system malfunction.

If the tail
gate is not closed correctly, with
the hybrid system active

message appears in the instrument panelscreen for a few seconds.

If the fault persists after closing again, the boot

System which protects and provides a deterrent
against theft and break-ins. It provides the
following types of monitoring:





Alarm


- Exterior perimeter

The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to open adoor, the boot or the bonnet...




- Interior volumetric

The system checks for any variation in the
volume in the passenger compartment.
The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks a
window, enters the passenger compar tment or moves inside the vehicle.
- Tilt
The system checks for any change in the attitude of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if the vehicle is lifted,
moved or knocked.


Self-protection function
The system checks for the putting out of ser vice of its components. The alarm is triggered if the battery, thebutton or the wires of the siren are putout of ser vice or damaged.
For all work on the alarm system, contact a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.
Locking the vehicle with full
alarm system

Press the locking button on the

emote control or lock the vehicleusing the Keyless Entry and Starting system. The monitoring system is active: the indicator
lam
p in the button flashes once per second.
After the locking button on the remote control
is pressed or the vehicle locked using the
Keyless Entry and Star ting system, the exterior
perimeter monitoring is activated after a delay of 5 seconds, the interior volumetric monitoring after 45 seconds and the anti-tilt after one
minute and 30 seconds.
If an opening (door, boot...) is not closed fully, the vehicle is not locked but the exterior
perimeter monitoring will be activated after a
delay of 45 seconds.
) Press the unlocking button on
the remote control or unlock the
vehicle using the Keyless Entryand Star ting system.

Deactivation of the volumetric monitoring
The volumetric protection system is deactivated: the indicator lamp in the button goes off.

Deactivate the interior volumetric and anti-liftmonitoring to avoid unwanted triggering of thealarm in certain cases such as:
- leaving a window par tially open,
- washing your vehicle,
- changing a wheel,
- having your vehicle towed,
- transportation by sea.

To be effective, this deactivation must be carried out each time the ignition is switchedoff.


Reactivation of the interior
volumetric and anti-tilt monitoring

Tr iggering of the alarm


This is indicated by sounding of the siren
and flashing of the direction indicators for
thirty seconds.
The monitoring
functions remain active until
the alarm has been triggered eleven times in
succession.
)Press the unlocking button on
the remote control or unlock thevehicle using the Keyless Entry and Starting system to deactivate
the exterior perimeter monitoring.
) Press the locking button on theremote control or lock the vehicle
using the Keyless Entry and Starting system to activate all the monitoring functions.
The indicator lamp in the button
again flashes once per second.

When the vehicle is unlocked usin
gthe remote control or unlockedusing the Keyless Entry and Starting
system, rapid flashing of the indicator lamp in the button informs you that the alarm
was triggered during your absence. When
the i
gnition is switched on, this flashing stops
immediately.



Failure of the remote control

To deactivate the monitoring functions:
)Unlock the vehicle using the key (integral with
the remote control) in the driver's door lock. )Open the door; the alarm is triggered.)Switch on the ignition; the alarm stops. The
indicator lamp in the button goes off.

Locking the vehicle without
activating the alarm
)Lock or deadlock the vehicle using the key(integral with the remote control) in the driver's door lock.




Operating fault


When the ignition is switched on, fixed
illumination of the indicator lamp in the button
indicates a fault in the s
ystem. Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a y
qualified workshop.

Automatic activation *



2 minutes after the last door or the boot isclosed, the system is activated automatically. )To avoid triggering the alarm on entering
the vehicle, first press the unlocking buttonon the remote control or unlock the vehicleusing the Keyless Entry and Starting system.

Bench seat with split cushion and backrest (left hand 2/3, right hand 1/3) which can be folded individually to adapt the load space in the boot.

Never drive with the head restraintsremoved; they must be in place and correctly adjusted.









Fan cooling of the high voltage battery


This system does not work continuously,
but adapts the force of the fan cooling to the
requirements of the battery.
Its operation can be heard at the rear, even if
the vehicle is stopped after a run.
If the air intake is blocked, the batter
y mayoverheat, damaging the battery and causing a
loss of performance of the hybrid system.
For the best use of the high voltage battery, please follow these recommendations: - do not obstruct the air intake with loose ar ticles, other wise, the battery may overheat, causing a loss of performance of the hybrid system- do not spill fluids, as this may cause damage to the battery.
The high voltage battery has an air cooling system, comprising an air intake
(located on the side of the left hand rear seat) and a fan (located behind the lefthand boot trim panel).
