B: Interior control
Never place a finger in the tailgatelocking system: risk of a seriousaccident!
The tailgate is not designed to suppor t a bicycle carrier.
When installing a bicycle carrier on atowbar, it is essential to deactivate theautomatic operation.
To avoid the risk of injury, ensure thatthere is no person close to the rear of the vehicle when opening and closing the motorised tailgate. Be careful of rear passengers.
The motorised tailgate has an obstacle detection system that automatically interrupts its operation if it contacts an obstacle (the movement is reversed bya few degrees to allow the tailgate tobe freed).

To deactivate the system, press

gain; its indicator lamp goes off as well as theassociated indicator in the
instrument panel. In the event of a fault, the warnin

lamp flashes then goes off.
Operating fault
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.
The system is automatically deactivated when towing with a towbar approved by CITROËN.
The system may suffer temporary interference in certain weather conditions (rain, hail...).
In par ticular, driving on a wet surface or moving from a dry area to a wet area can cause false alerts (for example, the presence of a fog of water droplets in the blind spot angle is interpreted as avehicle).
In bad or wintry weather, ensure thatthe sensors are not covered by mud, iceor snow. Take care not to cover the warning zone in the door mirrors or the detectionzones on the front and rear bumpers with adhesive labels or other objects;they may hamper the correct operation of the system. The state o
f the system remains in memory on switching off the ignition.
High pressure jet wash When washing your vehicle, direct the lance at least 30 cm away from the sensors.

Front par king sensors
The sound emitted by the speaker (frontor rear) indicates whether the obstacle is in front or behind.
The system will be deactivatedautomatically if a trailer is beingtowed or a bicycle carrier is fitted ona towbar (vehicle fitted with a towbar installed in line with the manufacturer'srecommendations).
In bad weather or in winter, ensure that the sensors are not covered with mud, ice or snow. When reverse gear isengaged, an audible signal (long beep)indicates that the sensors may be dirty.
Cer tain sound sources (motorcycle, lorry, pneumatic drill, etc.) may trigger the audible signals of the parkingsensor system. In addition to the rear parkin
g sensors, the front parking sensors are triggered when an obstacle
is detected in front and the speed of the vehicle
is still below 6 mph (10 km/h).
The front parking sensors are interrupted if
the vehicle stops for more than three seconds
in for ward
gear, if no fur ther obstacles are
detected or when the speed of the vehicle
exceeds 6 mph (10 km/h).
Deactivation / Activation of thefront and rear parking sensors
