General points on child seats
Although one of CITROËN's main criteria when designing your vehicle, the safety of your childrenp
also depends on you.
*The rules for carrying children are specific to
each country. Refer to the current legislation
in
your country. For maximum sa
fety, please follow these precautions:
- in accordance with European regulations, all children under the age of 12 or less
than one and a half metres tall must
travel in a
pproved child seats suited to
their weight , on seats fitted with a seat
belt or ISOFIX mountings * ,-statistically, the safest seats in your
vehicle for the transpor tation of
children are the rear seats,- a child weighing less than 9 kg must
travel in the "rearwards-facing" position both in the front and in the rear.
CITROËN recommends that children
should travel in the rear seats
of your vehicle, with the rear seats in the fullyback position: -"rearwards-facing"
up to the age of 2,-"forwards-facing"

"ISOFIX" mountings
There are 3 rings for each seat:
- 2 rings A
, located between the backrest and the seat cushion, identified by a label,
- a rin
g B
, located in the roof, with theTOP TETHER
logo, for fixing the top tether belt. This IS
OFIX mounting system provides reliable, safe and fast fitting of the child seat in your
vehicle.
ISOFIX child seats are fitted with two latches
which are secured easily on these rings A .
Some also have a top tether beltwhich can be
attached to ring B.
To attach this belt, raise the head restraint
of the seat, then pass the buckle between
the rods. Then fix the buckle on ring B, then
tension the top tether belt. Your vehicle is approved to the IS
OFIXregulations .
The seats represented below, are fitted with
regulation ISOFIX mountings.
If a child is not installed in a vehiclecorrectly, the child's protection in the event of a collision will be compromised.
To know which I
SOFIX child seats can be
installed in your vehicle, see the table of seating positions for ISOFIX child seats.
The rear seats must be in the fully back position
to install ISOFIX seats.
