Maximum coolant temperaturefixed red. The temperature of the coolingsystem is too high. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait until the engine has cooled down before topping
up the level, if necessary.
If the problem persists, contact a CITROËN dealer or qualified workshop.
Engine oil
pressure
fixed. There is a fault with the engine
lubrication system. You must stop as soon it is safe to do so.
Park, switch off the ignition and contact a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.
Battery chargefixed.The battery charging circuit has a fault (dir ty or loose terminals, slack or cut alternator belt, ...). The warnin
g lamp should go off when the engine is started.
If it does not go off, contact a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.
Low fuel levelfixed.When it first comes on there remainsapproximately 5 litres offuelin thetank.You must refuel as soon as possible to avoid runnin
gout of fuel.
This warning lamp will come on every time the ignition
is switched on
, until a sufficient addition of fuel is made.
Fuel tank capacity: approximately 50 litres (petrol),
46 litres (Diesel) or 37 litres (LPG); depending on
version: approximately 30 litres (petrol or Diesel).
Never continue to drive until you run out of fuel as
this could damage the emission control and injectionsystems.

For a few seconds after the ignition is switched on,the spanner flashes to indicate that the service must be carried out as soon as possible.Example:the ser vice is overdue by 180 miles (300 km).
For a few seconds after the ignition is switched
on, the display indicates:

A few seconds after the ignition is switched
on, the distance recorder resumes its normaloperation. The spanner remains on.
Service indicator zero reset

After each ser vice, the ser vice indicator mustbe reset to zero.
The procedure for resetting to zero is as
follows: ) switch off the ignition,)
press and hold the trip distance recorder
zero reset button,) switch on the ignition; the distance recorder display begins a countdown, )
when the display indicates "=0", release
the button; the spanner disappears.
Retrieving the serviceinformation

You can access the ser vice information at anytime. )Press the trip distance recorder zero reset button.
The ser vice information is displayed for a
few seconds, then disappears.
The distance remaining may be weighted by the time factor, dependingon the driver's driving habits. Therefore, the spanner may also comeon if you have exceeded the period since the last service, indicated in the MAINTENANCE AND WARR ANT YGUIDE.


Following this operation, if you wish todisconnect the battery, lock the vehicleand wait at least five minutes for thezero reset to be taken into account.

Switching the vehicle off


Key reminder

If the key is left in the ignition switch, an audible signal sounds when the driver's door is opened.

Do not attach any heavy objects to the key as this could weigh down on it when in the ignition switch and cause a fault. Followin
g disconnection of the vehicle battery,replacement of the remote control battery or
in the event of a remote control malfunction,you can no longer unlock, lock or locate your
v
ehicle. ) First of all, use the key in the lock to unlock or lock your vehicle.)
Then, reinitialise the remote control.

)Remove the black cap, located on the edge
of the door, using the key. )Insert the key in the socket, then turn it to

)Pull the interior door opening control.
In the event of failure of the centrallocking system, the battery must bedisconnected to lock the boot and so ensure that the vehicle is locked completely.
Check that the rear doors child lock is not on.
System allowing the doors to be locked andunlocked manually in the event of a fault with
the central locking system or a battery failure.
Activation

In exceptional circumstances, the gearbox may need an automaticreinitialisation: starting and gear changing are no longer possible.
Reverse
To e ngage reverse, the vehicle must be
immobilised with your foot on the brake. )Select position R.

Operating fault

With the ignition on, if this warninglamp comes on and AUTOflashes,
accompanied by an audible signal
and a message in the multifunction
screen, this indicates a gearbox
fault.Have it checked by a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.
At low speed, if reverse gear is requested,
the N warning lamp flashes and the gearbox
goes into neutral automatically.

Stopping the vehicle
Before switching off the engine:
- change to position N
to be in neutral,or
- leave the vehicle in gear; in this case the
vehicle cannot be moved.

Reinitialisation

Following disconnection of the battery, it is
necessary to reinitialise the gearbox.) Switch on the ignition.

Follow the procedure described above.

Before doing anything under thebonnet, ensure that the gear lever is in neutral (position N) and that the parking brake is applied.
There is an audible signal on engagement of reverse.

For all parking situations, you mustapply the parking braketo immobilise the vehicle.
When immobilising the vehicle with the engine running, you must put the gear lever into neutral (position N)

Stopping the vehicle
Before switching off the engine, you can engageposition Por Nto place the gearbox in neutral. In both cases, apply the parking brake to immobilise the vehicle.


Operating fault
When the ignition is on, the lighting
of this warning lamp, accompaniedby an audible signal and a message in the
multifunction screen, indicates a gearbox fault.
In this case, the gearbox switches to back-up
mode and is locked in 3rd gear. You may feel
a substantial knock when changing from Pto R
and from N
to R
. This will not cause any
damage to the gearbox.
Do not exceed 60 mph (10 0 km/h), local speed
restrictions permitting.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop as soon as possible.
To r e d u c e fuel consumption when at a prolonged standstill with the enginerunning (traffic jam...), put the gear lever in the Nposition and apply the parkingbrake.



There is a risk of damage to thegearbox:


- if you press the accelerator and brake pedals at the same time,

- if you force the movement of the gear lever from the Pposition to another position when the battery is flat.
If the lever is not in position P, when the Pdriver's door is opened or approximately 45 seconds after the ignition is switchedoff, a warning message appears in the screen.)Return the lever to position P
; the
message disappears.

If the en
gine speed is too low or too high, the gear selected flashes for a few seconds, then
the actual gear engaged is displayed.
It is possible to change from position D(automatic) to position M
(manual) at any time.
When the vehicle is stationary or moving
very slowly, the gearbox selects gear M1automatically.
The spor t and snow programmes do not
operate in manual mode.
