Aftermarket parts, accessories, and modifica-
tions
While you may find aftermarket products similar in
design and quality to genuine Yamaha Accesso-
ries, recognize that some aftermarket accessories
or modifications are not suitable because of poten-
tial safety hazards to you or others. Installing after-
market products or having other modifications
performed to your Rhino that change any of the
vehicle’s design or operation characteristics can
put you and others at greater risk of serious injury
or death. You are responsible for injuries related to
changes in the vehicle.
Aftermarket tires and rims
The tires and rims that came with your Rhino were
designed to match the performance capabilities
and to provide the best combination of handling,
braking, and comfort. Other tires, rims, sizes, and
combinations may not be appropriate. Refer to
pages 8-113–8-117 for tire specifications and
more information on replacing your tires.

Wheel installation
1. Install the wheel and the nuts.
The arrow mark on the tire must point
toward the rotating direction of the wheel.
Tapered nuts are used for both the front
and rear wheels. Install the nuts with their
tapered side towards the wheel.
2. Lower the vehicle so that the wheel is on the
ground.
3. Tighten the wheel nuts in crisscross pattern
to the specified torque.
WARNING
Do not reverse the rims on the Rhino to widen
the track width. Installing wheels improperly
increases the risk of wheel failure and acci-
dents.
Wheel nut torque:
Front: 55 Nm (5.5 m·kgf, 40 ft·lbf)
Rear: 55 Nm (5.5 m·kgf, 40 ft·lbf)
