When driving

Turning on the high beam headlights
With the headlights on, push
the lever forward to turn on the
high beams.
Pull the lever back to the center
position to turn the high beams
off.
Pull the lever toward you to
turn on the high beams.
Release the lever to turn them off.
You can flash the high beams
with the headlights on or off.

Daytime running light system
To make your vehicle more visible to other drivers, the front position
lights turn on automatically (at an increased intensity) whenever the
engine is started and the parking brake is released. Daytime running
lights are not designed for use at night.
Compared to turning on the headlights, the daytime running light system
offers greater durability and consumes less electricity, so it can help
improve fuel economy.

Light bulbs
You may replace the following bulbs yourself. The difficulty level of
replacement varies depending on the bulb. If necessary bulb
replacement seems difficult to perform, contact any authorized
Toyota dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped
professional.
For more information about replacing other light bulbs, contact any
authorized Toyota dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional.
Prepare a replacement light bulb

any authorized Toyota dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified
and equipped professional.

Condensation build-up on the inside of the lens
Contact any authorized Toyota dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified
and equipped professional, for more information in the following situations.
Temporary condensation build-up on the inside of the headlight lens does
not indicate a malfunction.
Large drops of water are built up on the inside of the lens.
Water has built up inside the headlight.
LED lights
The stop/tail, tail lights and high mounted stoplight consist of a number of
LEDs. If any of the LEDs burn out, take your vehicle to any authorized
Toyota dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped
professional to have the light replaced.

CAUTION
High-intensity discharge (HID) headlights
Contact any authorized Toyota dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified
and equipped professional before replacing high-intensity discharge head-
lights (including light bulbs).
Do not touch the high-intensity discharge headlight’s high voltage socket
when the headlights are turned on.
An extremely high voltage of 30000 V will be discharged and could result
in death or serious injury by electric shock.
Do not attempt to take apart or repair the low beam discharge headlight
bulbs, connectors, power supply circuits, or related components.
Doing so could result in electric shock and serious injury or death.
To prevent damage or fire
Make sure bulbs are fully seated and locked.
