Locking the front doors from the outside without a key
Move the inside lock button to the lock position.
Close the door while pulling the door handle.
Rear door child-protector lock (double-cab models only)
The door cannot be opened from
inside the vehicle when the lock
is set.
These locks can be set to prevent
children from opening the rear
doors. Push down on each rear
door switch to lock both rear
doors.

CAUTION
To prevent an accident
Observe the following precautions while driving the vehicle.
Failure to do so may result in a door opening and an occupant falling out,
resulting in death or serious injury.
Always use a seat belt.
Ensure that all doors are properly closed.
Do not pull the inside handle of the doors while driving.
The door may be opened and the passengers are thrown out of the vehicle
and it may result in serious injury or death.
Be especially careful for the driver’s door, as the door may be opened
even if the inside lock button is in locked position.
Set the rear door child-protector locks when children are seated in the rear
seats.

Back window (vehicles with sliding type)
Closing the back window
Make sure that the back window is securely closed after closing it.
CAUTION
Opening or closing the back window
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to do so may result in death or serious injury.
Check to make sure that all passengers do not have any part of their body
in a position where it could be caught when the window is being operated.
Do not allow children to operate the back window.
Closing the back window on someone can cause serious injury, and in
some instances, even death.
The back window can be opened and closed using the lock release
lever.
To open the back window,
push the lock release lever
and slide the back window.

Installing child restraints
Follow the child restraint system manufacturer’s instructions. Firmly
secure child restraints to the seats using a seat belt.

Installing child restraints using a seat belt (3-point type seat belt)
Rear-facing Baby seat/child seat
Place the child restraint system
on the rear seat facing the rear
of the vehicle.
Run the seat belt through the
child restraint system and insert
the plate into the buckle. Make
sure that the belt is not twisted.
Keep the lap portion of the belt
tight.
Install a locking clip near the
plate of the lap and shoulder belt
by inserting the lap and shoulder
webbing through the recesses of
the locking clip.

Place the child restraint system
on the seat facing the front of the
vehicle.
Run the seat belt through the
child restraint system and insert
the plate into the buckle. Make
sure that the belt is not twisted.

by inserting the lap and shoulder
