Comfort
Massage function
This function provides the driver with a back massage. It only operates when the engine
is running as well as in STOP mode of the Stop & Start system.
Activation
) Press this button.
The warning lamp comes on and the massage function is activated for a period of 1 hour. During this time, massage is performed incycles of 6 minutes (4 minutes of massage
followed by 2 minutes break). In total, the
system will per form 10 cycles.
After one hour, the function is deactivated,the warning lamp goes off.
Deactivation
You can deactivate the massage function at any time by pressing thisbutton.

Dual-zone digital air conditioning
Automatic operation
1. Automatic comfort programme
)
Press this "AU TO "button. Theindicator lamp comes on.
We recommend that you use this mode.It automatically adjusts all settings to provide
optimum operation for the comfor t level chosen: passenger compar tment temperature, air flow, air distribution and air recirculation.
This system is designed to operate effectivelyin all seasons, with the windows closed.
When the engine is cold, to prevent too great a distribution of cold air,the air flow will reach its optimum level gradually. In cold weather, it favours the distribution of warm air to the windscreen, side windows and footwells only.

2 - 3. Driver-passenger side adjustment

The driver and front passenger can each adjust
the temperature to their requirements.

The value indicated on the display corresponds
to a level of comfor t and not to a temperature in
degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
) Turn control 2or 3to the left(blue) or to the right (red) respectively to decrease or increase this value.
A setting around the value 21 provides optimumcomfort. However, depending on your requirements,
a settin
g between 18 and 24 is normal. It is recommended that the difference between
left and right should not be greater 3. The air conditionin
g can only operate when the hybrid system is active, except in STOP mode of Stop & Start.

Comfort

On entering the vehicle, if the interior temperature is much colder or warmer than the comfort value, there is noneed to change the value displayed in order to obtain the comfort required.The system corrects the differencein temperature automatically and asquickly as possible.

4. Automatic visibility programme

For maximum cooling or heating of thepassenger compartment, it is possibleto exceed the minimum value 14 or themaximum value 28.)
Turn control 2or 3
to the left until "LO"is displayed or to the right until "HI"
is displayed. See "Front demistin
g-defrosting".

Press this button to equalise thecomfort value on the passenger's
side with that on the driver's side (mono-zone). The indicator lamp in the button comes on.

f you wish, you can change one of settings
provided by the system. The other functions will still be controlled automatically.) Pressing the "AUTO"
button returns the system to completely automatic operation.


Manual operation
5. Mono-zone/Dual-zone
The air conditioning is designed to operate effectively in all seasons,
with the windows closed.
6. Air conditioning On/Off
It allows you:
- in summer, to lower the temperature,
- in winter, above 3 °C, to improve demistin
g
performance.

7. Maximum air conditioning
If you want to temporarily refresh theair in the passenger compartment,
press this button and "LO"isdisplayed.
To return to the previous settings, press the
button again.
With Stop & Start, when demisting has been switched on, the Diesel engine does not stop.Switchin
g on) Press the "A/C"button, the associated green indicator lamp comes on.The air conditioning does not operate when
the air flow control is set to off.
Switching off) Press the "A /C "
button again, the
associated green indicator lamp goes off.
Switching off the air conditioning may result in
some discomfort (humidity, misting).

Driving
)Fold the 2/3 par t of the rear seat for access
to the green cap.

For reasons of safety you must contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible to have the cap replaced.
Take care not to place anything dusty or
wet close to the cap.
With an emergency release,immobilisation of the vehicle is no longer be assured once the mechanical release has started and the mechanical tool cannot be used to apply the parkingbrake again.
Do not carry out any action on lever A
,or stop/star t the system while therelease tool is engaged.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
To r e - e ngage the electric parking brake(after correction of the fault or battery failure), make a long pull on the controllever Auntil the parking brake warninglamp (!) flashes in the instrument panel, then make a second long pull until this warning lamp comes on fixed (notflashing).
)
Turn the release tool clockwise
. For
reasons of safetyit is essentialto keep
turning until the stop is reached. The
parking brake is released.) Take care to refit the release tool in its
housing.) The operation of the parking brake is
reinitialised each time the ignition is switched off and on. If reinitialisation of the
parking brake is not possible, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.) The application time may be longer than
with normal operation.
) Pierce the cap and inser t the release tool in
the tube.



The emergency braking should only be used in exceptional circumstances.

Driving

Engagement of reverse gear is accompanied by an audible signal.
If you leave the vehicle, place the gear
lever in position Nand then you muststop the hybrid system by switching off the ignition (Ready
lamp off).
If the gear lever is not in position Nonstarting, N
flashes in the instrument panel, accompanied by an audible signal and a message in the instrument panel screen.Foot on brake
flashes on theinstrument panel, accompanied by anaudible signal and a message in theinstrument panel screen, if the brakepedal is not pressed on starting.


For optimum acceleration, for example
when overtaking another vehicle, press the accelerator pedal firmly past the point of resistance.

Visibility

Lighting left on audible signal
An audible signal when a front door is opened warns the driver that the vehicle's exterior lighting is on, with the ignition off and in manual lighting mode.
In this case, switching off the lighting stops the audible signal.
With the ignition off, if the dippedheadlamps remain on, the vehicle goes into "ECO" mode to avoid dischargingthe battery.

In some weather conditions (e.g. low temperature or humidity), the presence of misting on the internal sur face of theglass of the headlamps and rear lampsis normal; it disappears after the lamps have been on for a few minutes.

Daytime lighting, compulsory in cer tain
countries, which comes on automatically when
the engine is star ted making the vehicle more
visible to other road users.
Daytime running lamps

This function is assured:


- in countries where it is imposed byregulations, by illumination of the dippedbeam headlamps with the sidelamps and number plate lamps.

- for other countries where it is provided, by
the use of dedicated lamps.

This function can be activated or deactivated via the vehicleconfiguration menu.



The lighting goes off when you switchoff the ignition, but you can always switch it on again using the lightingcontrol stalk.

They come on when the engine is started.
Depending on the destination country, they are used for:

ytime running lamps/sidelamps in the front lamp units are not used.

Practical information








12 V battery
Procedure for charging your battery when it is flat or for star ting the engine using another battery.
The presence of this label indicatesthe use of a 12 V lead-acid battery with special technology and specification, for which the involvement of a PEUGEOT dealer or qualified workshop is required when replacing or disconnecting thebattery. Failure to observe this recommendationmay cause premature wear of thebattery.


After refitting the battery, the Stop &Start system will only be active after several hours depending on the climatic conditions and the state of charge of thebattery (up to about 8 hours).
The battery is located under the bonnet.
To gain access to it:
)
open the bonnet using the interior release
lever, then the exterior safety catch, ) remove the plastic cover to gain access to
the two terminals,) unclip the fusebox to remove the battery, if necessary.



Access to the battery


Before doing any work on your vehicle, switch off the ignition (Ready
lamp off) to avoid any risk of injury resulting fromautomatic operation of the engine. Y
our vehicle is fitted with a conventional 12 Vbattery, located under the bonnet, in addition
to the high voltage battery used by the hybridsystem.
In cer tain conditions, if the 12 V battery is
too discharged to activate the hybrid system,
recharging from another conventional 12 V
battery is possible.
Do not carry out this recharge if the Readylamp is on.
