EXTERIOR LIGHTS
FAULT (amber)
(for versions/markets,
where provided)
The warning light will switch on, on
some versions, when a fault with
one of the following lights is
detected:
– side lights
– brake lights
– rear fog lights
– direction indicators
– number plate lights.
The fault relating to these lights
could be: one or more blown bulbs,
a blown protection fuse or a break
in the electrical connection.
On some versions, the display shows
a dedicated message.The presence of water in
the fuel supply circuit
may cause severe
damage to the injection system
and irregular engine operation.
If the
cwarning light switches
on (on some versions together
with the message on the
display), contact a Fiat
Dealership as soon as possible
to have the system bled. If this
problem is indicated
immediately after refueling,
water may have entered the fuel
tank. In this case, stop the
engine immediately and contact
a Fiat Dealership.

WATER IN DIESEL
FILTER (amber)
When the key is turned to MAR, the
warning light switches on but should
switch off after a few seconds.
The cwarning light switches on
when there is water in the diesel
filter.
On some versions, the display shows
a dedicated message.

GENERIC FAILURE
INDICATION (amber)
The warning light switches on in the
following circumstances.
DPF (particulate filter) cleaning
in progress
(for versions/markets,
where provided)
The warning light switches on to
inform the driver that the DPF
system needs to eliminate the
trapped pollutants (particulate)
through the regeneration process.
The warning light will switch off if
the vehicle remains in motion until
the regeneration process has been
completed.
Together with the warning light, the
display shows the dedicated
message.
On some versions, together with the
message on the display, there is an
acoustic signal. If this warning light comes on, it
does not mean that the vehicle is
defective, so there is no need to
take it to a Fiat Dealership.Speed limit exceeded
(for versions/markets,
where provided)
This warning light switches on
(on some versions together with a
dedicated message on the display
and an acoustic signal) when the
vehicle exceeds the speed limit set
previously.
Fuel cut-off inertia switch
tripped
The warning light switches on when
the fuel cut-off inertia switch is
tripped.
The display will show the dedicated
message.

Always drive at a speed
appropriate to the
traffic conditions, the weather
and traffic regulations. You are
advised to stop the engine and
stop driving only after the
warning light has switched off,
following completed
regeneration.

the driving lights are activated.
These operate only with main beam

E-LOCKER SYSTEM
(Front differential

The warning light switches on (on
some versions together with a
dedicated message on the display) as
follows:
– flashing when the system is
activated;
– flashing more rapidly to indicate
that the speed of the vehicle is
approaching 20 km/h;
– constantly if there is a fault with
the system.RIGHT DIRECTION
INDICATOR
(green - intermittent)
The warning light switches on when
the direction indicator control stalk
is moved upwards or, together with
the left indicator, when the hazard
warning light button is pressed.
LEFT DIRECTION
INDICATOR

The warning light switches on when
the direction indicator control stalk
is moved downwards or, together
with the right indicator, when the
hazard warning light button is
pressed.

IMPORTANT With the air
distribution knob at -air also
comes out of the central and side
diffusers. To optimise demisting
/defrosting (also on side windows)
stop the air flow at the central
diffusers (specific control knob
turned down to
Op) and open the
side diffusers (specific control knob
turned up to
¥).
After demisting, operate the
controls to maintain optimum
visibility conditions.
EXTERIOR LIGHTS
The left stalk operates most of the
external lights.
The ignition key has to be at MAR
for the exterior lights to switch on.
The instrument panel and the
various dashboard controls will
switch on with the external lights.

DIRECTION

Up = right indicator.
Down = left indicator.
The
¥or Îwarning light flashes on
the instrument panel.
The direction indicators are
switched off automatically when the
steering wheel is straightened.
If you want the indicator to flash
briefly to show that you are about
to change lane, turning the wheel
only slightly, move the stalk up or
down without clicking into position
(unstable position).
When released the stalk will return
to its initial position.“FOLLOW ME

This device lights up the space in
front of the vehicle for a short time.
Activation
With ignition key at STOP or
removed, pull the stalk towards the
steering wheel and move it within
2 minutes after the engine stops.
Each time the stalk is moved, the
lights stay on for a further 30
seconds up to a maximum of 210
seconds; then the lights are switched
off automatically.
The display shows the time set.Deactivation
Pull the lever towards the steering
wheel for more than 2 seconds or
turn the key to MAR in the ignition
switch.

Do not use the
windscreen wipers to
remove layers of snow
or ice from the windscreen. In
these conditions, the windscreen
wipers may be submitted to
excessive effort resulting in the
motor protection cutting in and
wiper operation being inhibited
for a few seconds. If operation is
not subsequently restored,
contact a Fiat Dealership.

HAZARD WARNING

They are turned on by pressing
switch A, regardless of the position
of the ignition key.
With the device activated, the
switch flashes and the warning
lights flash on the instrument panel
at the same time.
To switch off, press the switch again.The use of hazard
warning lights is
governed by the highway code
of the country you are in.
Drivers must therefore comply
with the regulations that the
code contains.

Rear fog lights
Switch A: to activate these lights, the
dipped headlights and/or front fog
lights must be switched on. The rear
fog lights are deactivated when the
ignition key is turned to STOP.
If they are required when the vehicle
is next started, they must be
reactivated.
Fog lights
Switch B: to activate these lights, the
external lights must be switched on
(not the main beam headlights). The
front fog lights are deactivated when
the ignition key is turned to STOP.
If they are required when the vehicle
is next started, they must be
reactivated.Driving lights
Switch C. To activate these lights,
the mean beam headlights must be
switched on. The driving lights are
deactivated when the ignition key is
turned to STOP.
If they are required when the vehicle
is next started, they must be
reactivated.

one of the doors is closed
(within 3 minutes).
The timed period is interrupted if
the ignition is turned to MAR.
Exit timing
After removing the key from the
ignition switch, the roof lights switch
on as follows:
– for a period of 3 minutes within 2
minutes of the engine stopping;
– for a period of 3 minutes when
one of the doors is opened;
– for a period of 7 seconds when
one of the doors is closed (within
3 minutes).
Timing will stop automatically when
the doors are locked.REAR ROOF LIGHT fig. 71

The rear roof light is switched on
using the lens, as follows:
pressed to 1: off;
normal position: switches on when a
door is opened;
pressed to 2: always on.POWER SOCKET fig.72
This is present only on certain
versions and operates when the
ignition key is turned to MAR.
To use, lift cap A.
It can be used with devices /
accessories with a maximum power
of 180 W.
Before connecting any
electrical accessories,
contact a Fiat Dealership to
check whether this is possible.
