ENGINE BREAK-IN RECOMMENDATIONS
• A long break-in period is not required for the engine and drivetrain (transmission andaxle) in your vehicle.
• Drive moderately during the first 300 miles (500 km). After the initial 60 miles (100 km), speeds up to 50 or 55 mph (80 or 90 km/h) are desirable.
• While cruising, brief full-throttle acceleration within the limits of local traffic laws contributes to a good break-in. Wide-open throttle acceleration in low gear can be
detrimental and should be avoided.
• The engine oil installed in the engine at the factory is a high-quality energy conserving type lubricant. Oil changes should be consistent with anticipated climate
conditions under which vehicle operations will occur. For the recommended
viscosity and quality grades, refer to “Maintaining Your Vehicle”.
NOTE: A new engine may consume some oil during its first few thousand miles
(kilometers) of operation. This should be considered a normal part of the break-in and not
interpreted as an indication of difficulty.
CAUTION!
Never use Non-Detergent Oil or Straight Mineral Oil in the engine or damage may
result.
TURN SIGNAL/LIGHTS/HIGH BEAM LEVER
Turn Signal/Lane Change Assist
• Tap the lever up or down once and the turn signal (right or left) will flash briefly to indicate a lane change and automatically turn off.
Headlights/Parking Lights
• The ignition switch must be in the ON/RUN position for the headlights to operate.
• Rotate the end of the lever to the first detent for parking lights and headlightoperation.

COLD WEATHER OPERATION (Engine Block
Heater)
Engine Block Heater
• To prevent possible engine damage while starting at low temperatures, this vehiclewill inhibit engine cranking when the ambient temperature is less than –22° F (–30°
C) and the oil temperature sensor reading indicates an engine block heater has not
been used. An externally-powered electric engine block heater is available as
optional equipment or from your authorized dealer.
• The message "plug in engine heater" will be displayed in the instrument cluster when the ambient temperature is below 5° F (–15° C) at the time the engine is shut off as a
reminder to avoid possible crank delays at the next cold start.
CAUTION!
• Use of the recommended SAE 5W-40 synthetic engine oil and adhering to theprescribed oil change intervals is important to prevent engine damage and
ensure satisfactory starting in cold conditions.
• Do not attempt to push or tow your vehicle to get it started. Unburned fuel could enter the catalytic converter and once the engine has started, ignite and
damage the converter and vehicle.
• To prevent damage to the starter, do not continuously crank the engine for more than 15 seconds at a time. Wait 10 to 15 seconds before trying again.
WARNING!
Never pour fuel or other flammable liquids into the throttle body air inlet opening
in an attempt to start the vehicle. This could result in a flash fire causing serious
personal injury.

(E) After Driving:
Pull over to a safe location. Refer to “Whenever You Stop to Use TIREFIT” before
continuing. 1. Turn the Mode Select Knob (5) to the Air Mode position.
2. Uncoil the power plug and insert the plug into the vehicle's 12 Volt power outlet.
3. Uncoil the Air Pump Hose (7) (black in color) and screw the fitting at the end of hose (7) onto the valve stem.
4. Check the pressure in the tire by reading the Pressure Gauge (3).
If tire pressure is less than 19 psi (1.3 Bar) , the tire is too badly damaged. Do not
attempt to drive the vehicle further. Call for assistance.
If the tire pressure is 19 psi (1.3 bar) or higher:
1. Press the Power Button (4) to turn on TIREFIT and inflate the tire to the pressure indicated on the tire and loading information label on the driver-side door opening.
NOTE: If the tire becomes over-inflated, press the Deflation Button to reduce the tire
pressure to the recommended inflation pressure before continuing.
2. Disconnect the TIREFIT kit from the valve stem, reinstall the cap on the valve stem and unplug from 12 Volt outlet.
3. Place the TIREFIT kit in its proper storage area in the vehicle.
4. Have the tire inspected and repaired or replaced at the earliest opportunity at an authorized dealer or tire service center.
5. Replace the Sealant Bottle (1) and Sealant Hose (6) assembly at your authorized dealer as soon as possible. Refer to “(F) Sealant Bottle and Hose Replacement.”
NOTE: When having the tire serviced, advise the authorized dealer or service center
that the tire has been sealed using the TIREFIT service kit.
(F) Sealant Bottle And Hose Replacement: 1. Uncoil the Sealant Hose (6) (clear in color).
2. Locate the round Sealant Bottle release button in the recessed area under the sealant bottle.
3. Press the Sealant Bottle release button. The Sealant Bottle (1) will pop up. Remove the bottle and dispose of it accordingly.
4. Clean any remaining sealant from the TIREFIT housing.
5. Position the new Sealant Bottle (1) in the housing so that the Sealant Hose (6) aligns with the hose slot in the front of the housing. Press the bottle into the housing. An
audible click will be heard indicating the bottle is locked into place.
6. Verify that the cap is installed on the fitting at the end of the Sealant Hose (6) and return the hose to its storage area (located on the bottom of the air pump).
7. Return the TIREFIT kit to its storage location in the vehicle.

cracking, component separation, or “blow out”. Over-inflation reduces a tire’s
ability to cushion shock. Objects on the road and chuck holes can cause
damage that results in tire failure. Unequal tire pressures can cause steering
problems. You could lose control of your vehicle. Over-inflated or
under-inflated tires can affect vehicle handling and can fail suddenly, resulting
in loss of vehicle control.
SUMMER/THREE-SEASON TIRES
• This vehicle may be equipped with wheels and tires to enhance traction in both wetand dry conditions.
• Summer tires are not intended to be driven in snow or on ice.
• Use summer tires only in sets of four.
NOTE: Summer tires will not contain the all season designation or mountain/snowflake
symbol on the sidewall of the tire.
WARNING!
Do not use summer tires in snow/ice conditions. You could lose control, resulting
in severe injury or death.
WHEEL AND WHEEL TRIM CARE
• All wheels and wheel trim, especially aluminum and chrome plated wheels, should be cleaned regularly with a mild soap and water to prevent corrosion.
• To remove heavy soil and/or excessive brake dust, use MOPAR
