Bluetoothwireless technology enables wireless connec-
tion between your mobile phone and the hands-free
package installed on your car.
To use the hands-free package, you need aBluetooth
wireless technology enabled mobile phone. This hands-
free package gives you the possibility of interacting
vocally with your mobile phone while driving, even if
your mobile device does not feature this capability. You
can also interact with your mobile phone manually and
visually using the steering wheel controls and the instru-
ment panel multifunction display.For further details on the mobile phones supported by

BILE PHONES.
To get started withBLUE&ME™Hands-Free Communi-
cation with voice recognition, you have to simply pair
yourBluetoothwireless technology enabled mobile
phone with the system.
Pairing is an operation that has to be performed only
once.
NOTE:
•During the mobile phone pairing procedure,
BLUE&ME™attempts to detect a phone equipped
withBluetoothwireless technology within range and
then establishes the connection using a Personal Iden-
tification Number (PIN).

•If you download a phonebook with a contacts list
including more than 1000 contacts, the system may
operate slower than expected and voice recognition of
the names in your phonebook may be degraded.
•If the pairing list is accidentally deleted, the pairing
procedure will be repeated.
Managing User Data
You can manage the user data used byBLUE&ME™by
entering theUSER DATAmenu. The phonebook can be
deleted, all paired phones and their associated phone-
book data can be deleted, or all data can be deleted. If all
data is deleted then the memory inBLUE&ME™will be
restored to it’s initial empty condition. If the phonebook
had not been previously downloads during the phone’s
initial pairing then you can choose to download it now or
you can copy individual contacts from you phone toBLUE&ME™. Not all phones support phonebook down-
loading or copying individual contacts. Consult www-

patible mobile phones.
To open theUSER DATAmenu using manual interac-
tion, proceed as follows:
Press the
/MAINbutton to open the Main Menu, then
selectSETTINGSby pressing thePRESET UP/OKbut-
ton.
Select theUSER DATAand then press thePRESET
UP/OKbutton.
Or, using voice interaction:
Press the
button and say“Settings”.Wait until
after the tone then say“User data”.
