5. Air conditioning On/Off
)Press this button to switch off
the air conditioning.
Switching the system off could result in
discomfort (humidity, condensation).)Press this button again to return to automatic operation of the air conditioning.
The indicator lamp on the "A/C"button comes on.
6. Air distribution adjustment
)Press one or more buttons to
direct the air flow towards:
- th
e windscreen and side windows (demisting or defrosting),
- the outer and centre air vents,
- th
e footwells.

You can combine the three orientations toobtain the desired air distribution.


7. Air fl ow adjustment
)Turn this control to the left todecrease the air flow or to theright to increase the air flow.

8. Air intake/Air recirculation
)Press this button for recirculation of the interior air. The indicator lamp in the button comes on. The air
flow indicator lamps, between the
two fans, come on progressively in relation to
the value requested.

9. "REST" function: ventilationwith the engine off

Even with the engine is off, you canoperate the ventilation for afew minutes.
Air recirculation enables the passen
ger compartment to be isolated from exterior odours and smoke. )
As soon as possible, press this button
again to permit the intake of outside air andprevent the formation of condensation. The
indicator lamp in the button goes off.
For example, while
you are away from the
vehicle, the passengers can still enjoy some air circulation without having the engine running.
This function is available after switching on the
ignition, as well as after stopping the engine.
The period that the function is available
depends on the state of char
ge of the battery.
You can activate the "REST" function while the
air conditioning control screens are on.

Front demist - defrost
These markings on the control panel indicate the control positions for rapid demisting or
de
frosting of the windscreen and side windows.
With manual air
conditioning
)Put the temperature, air flow anddistribution controls to the dedicated marked position. )Put the air intake control to the "Exterior air intake" position (indicator lamp on the control off). )Switch on the air conditioning by pressing
the "A/C"button; the warning lamp in thebutton comes on.


With digital dual-zone air
conditioning


With Stop & Star t, when the demisting, air conditioning and air flow functionsare activated, STOP mode is not available.

Automatic visibility programme
)
Select this programme to demist or defrost
the windscreen and side windows as quickly as possible.
The system automatically manages the air conditioning, air flow and air intake, and
provides optimum distribution towards the
win
dscreen and side windows.) To stop the programme, press either the "visibility"button again or "AU TO " , the
warning lamp on the button goes off and
the warning lamp on the "AUTO"
button comes on.
The system starts again with the values in
use before it was overridden by the visibilityprogramme.
With Stop & Star t, when demisting hasbeen activated, the STOP mode is notavailable.

Rear screen demist - defrost
The control button is located on the air conditioning system control panel.


Switching on

The rear screen demisting/defrosting can onlyoperate when the engine is running.)Press this button to demist/defrost the rear screen and (depending on version) the door mirrors. The indicator lamp associated with
the button comes on.

Switching off
The demisting/defrosting switches off automatically to prevent an excessive consumption of current.)
It is possible to stop the demisting/defrosting operation before it is switched
off automatically by pressing the button
again. The indicator lamp associated with
the button
goes off.
)
Switch off the demisting/defrostingof the rear screen and door mirrorsas soon as appropriate, as lower current consumption results inreduced fuel consumption.

Mirrors

Each fitted with an adjustable mirror glass permitting the lateral rear ward vision necessary for overtaking or parking. They can also be
folded for parking in confined spaces.

Door mirrors
The objects obser ved are, in reality, closer than they appear. Take this into account in order to correctly judge the distance of vehicles approaching from behind.




Folding

From outside: lock the vehicle usingthe remote control or the key.)
From inside: with the ignition on, pull the control A
in the central position rear wards.


Unfolding
)
From outside: unlock the vehicle usingthe remote control or the key.)
From inside: with the ignition on, pull the control A
in the central position rear wards.

If the mirrors are folded using control A , they will not unfold when the vehicle is unlocked. Pull again on control A.

The folding and unfolding of the door mirrors using the remote control can be deactivated by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
Never fold or unfold the electric folding mirrors manually.
I
f your vehicle is fitted with heated
mirrors, the demisting-defrostingoperates by switching on the heatedrear screen (refer to the "Rear screen
demist-defrost" page).
The rear screen demist - defrost can onl
yoperate when the engine is running.

Stop & Start The Stop & Start system puts the engine temporarily into standby - STOP mode - during stops in the traffic (red lights, traffic jams, or other...). The engine restar ts automatically - START mode - as soon as you want to move off. The restar t takes place instantly, quickly and silently.
Per
fect for urban use, the Stop & Star t system reduces fuel consumption and exhaust emissions as well as the noise level when stationary.
Operation
Going into engine STOP mode
With the electronic gearbox system, for your comfor t during parking maoeuvres, STOP mode is not available for a few seconds after coming out of reverse gear.STOP mode does not affect the functionality of the vehicle, such asbraking, power steering, for example.
Never refuel with the engine in STOPmode; you must switch off the ignition with the key. Th
e "ECO"warning lamp comes on
in the instrument panel and the engine goes into standby automatically:
-with a manual gearbox , at speeds below
12 mph (20 km/h), when you put the gear lever into neutral and release the clutchpedal,
- with the 6-speed electronic gearbox
system, at a speed below 5 mph (8 km/h),
when you press the brake pedal or put thegear lever into position N.
If your vehicle is fitted with the system, a time counter calculates
the sum o
f the periods in STOP
mode during a journey. It resets
itself to zero every time the ignition
is switched on with the key.
STOP mode is not invoked when:


- the driver's door is open,

- the driver's seat belt is not
fastened,

- the vehicle has not exceeded 6 mph (10 km/h)since the last engine star t using the key,

- the electric parking brake is applied or
bein
g applied,

- the engine is needed to maintain acomfortable temperature in the passenger compartment,

- demisting is active,

- some special conditions (battery charge, engine temperature, braking assistance,ambient temperature...) where the engine isneeded to assure control of a system.


Special cases: STOP modeunavailable

In this case, the "ECO"warning lamp
flashes for a few seconds, then goes off.
This operation is per fectly normal.
