Your vehicle’s electrical sys-
tem is designed to operate
with either standard or op-
tional equipment.
Before installing electrical equip-
ment or accessories on your vehi-
cle, consult a CITROËN dealer or a
qualifi ed workshop.
CITROËN declines all responsibil-
ity for the consequences and costs
that are caused by faults or repairs
on your vehicle resulting from the
installation of accessories that
are not supplied and/or not rec-
ommended by CITROËN and not
installed in conformity with its re-
quirements, particularly when the
total consumption of additional de-
vices exceeds 10 milliamperes.
The Maxi fuses give additional pro-
tection to electrical systems. Any
work on them must be carried out
by a CITROËN dealer or a quali-
fi ed workshop.
After a repair, carefully refi t the
cover.
If the cover is not correctly po-
sitioned or not properly closed,
this could cause serious prob-
lems on your vehicle. For the
same reason, take care not to
spill any liquid in the fusebox.

For access to it:
)

)
open the fl ap and remove the
battery.
The presence of this label, in
particular with the Stop & Start
system, indicates the use of a
12 V lead-acid battery with special
technology and specifi cation; the
involvement of a CITROËN dealer
or a qualifi ed workshop is essential
when replacing or disconnecting
the battery.
Failure to observe this recommen-
dation may cause premature wear
of the battery.
After refi tting the battery by a
CITROËN dealer or a qualifi ed
workshop, the Stop & Start system
will only be active after a continu-
ous period of immobilisation of the
vehicle, a period which depends
on the climatic conditions and the
state of charge of the battery (up to
about 8 hours).

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
The fi tting of electrical equip-
ment or accessories which
are not recommended by
CITROËN may result in a failure of
your vehicle's electronic system and
excessive electrical consumption.
Please note this precaution. You
are advised to contact a CITROËN
representative to be shown the
range of recommended equipment
and accessories.
Depending on the legislation in
force in the country, it may be com-
pulsory to have a high visibility
safety vest, warning triangle and
spare bulbs and fuses available in
the vehicle.
Installation of radio
communication transmitters
Before installing any after-market ra-
dio communication transmitter, you
can contact a CITROËN dealer for
the specifi cation of transmitters which
can be fi tted (frequency, maximum
power, aerial position, specifi c instal-
lation requirements), in line with the
Vehicle Electromagnetic Compatibility
Directive (2004/104/EC).
