System which provides full manual locking or
unlocking of the doors from the inside.
Manual centralised control

Locking
)Press button Ato lock the vehicle.
The red indicator lamp on the button comes on.
Unlocking
) Press button A
again to unlock the vehicle.
The red indicator lamp on the button
switches off.
If one of the doors is open, central locking from the inside does not take place.
If the vehicle is locked from the outside,the red indicator lamp flashes andbutton A
is inactive.)In this case, use the remote control or the key to unlock the vehicle.




Automatic centralised
control

System which provides full automatic locking or unlocking of the doors and the boot while
driving.
You can activate or deactivate this function.


Locking

When the speed exceeds 6 mph (10 km/h), the
doors and the boot lock automatically.
Unlocking
)
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), press button Ato unlock the doors and the boot
temporarily.


If one of the doors is open, theautomatic central locking does not take place.
If the boot is open, the automatic central locking of the doors is active.

Activation
)Press button Afor more than two seconds.
A confirmation message appears on themultifunction screen, accompanied by an audible signal.
Deactivation
)Press button Aagain for more than
two seconds.
A confirmation message appears on themultifunction screen, accompanied by an
audible signal.
To lock or unlock the doors mechanicall
y in the event of a central locking system failure or flatbattery.
Emergency control


Locking the driver’s door

Inser t the key in the lock, then turn it to theleft.


Unlocking the driver’s door
)
Inser t the key in the lock, then turn it to the
right.

Locking the passenger’s door
)Remove the black cap, on the edge of the
door, using the key. )Inser t the key in the cavity, then turn it fully. )Remove the key and refit the cap.



Unlocking the passenger’s door
)Pull the interior door opening control.
In the event of a fault with the central locking system, you must disconnectthe battery to lock the boot and so ensure the complete locking of the vehicle.

)After unlocking the vehicle using theremote control or the key, pull the handleand raise the tailgate.
Closing

Lower the tailgate using the interior grab
handle.
If the tail
gate is not closed correctly:
-when the engine is running ,
this warning lamp comes on,
accompanied by a messageon the multifunction screen for a few seconds,
-when the vehicle is moving (speed above6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning lamp comes
on, accompanied by an audible signal and
a message on the multifunction screen for a few seconds.
System for mechanical unlocking of the boot
in the event of a battery or central lockingmalfunction.
Tailgate release

Fold back the rear benchseat to gainaccess to the lock from inside the boot.)
Insert a small screwdriver into hole Aof thelock to unlock the tailgate.

Fuel tank Fuel tank capacity: approximately 50 litres (petrol) or 46 litres (Diesel); (Depending on version: approximately 30 litres (petrol or Diesel)).

A label affixed to the inside of the flap remindsyou of the type of fuel to be used depending onyour engine.
Additions of fuel must be of at least 5 litres, in
order to be re
gistered by the fuel gauge.
The key cannot be removed from the lock until the cap is refitted. Opening the filler cap may create a noise caused by an inrush of air. This vacuum is entirely normal, resultingfrom the sealing of the fuel system. To
fill the tank safely: )the engine must be switched off,)
open the fuel filler flap,)
inser t the key in the cap, then turn it to
the left,
)remove the cap and hook it onto the clip
located on the inside of the flap, )fill the tank, but do not continue after the
3rd cut- off of the pump
; this could cause
malfunctions.
When
you have filled the tank:)put the cap back in place,)turn the key to the right, then remove it from the cap,)close the flap. Wh
en the fuel tank minimum level is reached this warning lamp comes on
on the instrument panel. When it
firstcomes on there remains approximately 5 litres
of fuel in the tank.
You must refuel as soon as possible to avoid running out of fuel.
If you run out of fuel (Diesel), refer also to the
"Checks" section.
With Stop & Star t, never refuel with the system in STOP mode; you must switch off the ignition with the key.

Quality of the fuel used for
petrol engines

The petrol engines are perfectly compatible
with E10 or E24 type petrol biofuels (containing10 % or 24 % ethanol), conforming to Europeanstandards EN 228 and EN 15376.
E85 type fuels (containing up to 85 % ethanol)
are reser ved exclusively for vehicles marketed for the use of this type of fuel (BioFlex
vehicles). The quality of the ethanol mustcomply with European standard EN 15293.
For Brazil only, special vehicles are marketed
to run on fuels containing up to 100 % ethanol(E10 0 type).
Quality of the fuel used for
Diesel engines
The Diesel engines are per fectly compatiblewith biofuels which conform to current and future European standards (Diesel fuel which complies with standard EN 590 mixed with a
biofuel which complies with standard EN 14214)available at the pumps (containing up to 7 % Fatty Acid Methyl Ester).
The B30 biofuel can be used in cer tain Diesel
engines; however, this use is subject to strictapplication of the special ser vicing conditions.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop.
The use of any other type of (bio)fuel (vegetable or animal oils, pure or diluted,
domestic fuel...) is strictly prohibited (risk of
dama
ge to the engine and fuel system).

Misfuel prevention (Diesel) * Mechanical device which prevents filling the tank of a Diesel vehicle with petrol. It avoids the risk of engine damage that can result from filling with the
wrong fuel.
Located in the
filler neck, the misfuel prevention device appears when the filler cap is removed.
Operation
When a petrol filler nozzle is introduced into the
fuel filler neck of your Diesel vehicle, it comes
into contact with the flap. The s
ystem remainsclosed and prevents filling.Do not persist but introduce a Diesel type filler nozzle.
It remains possible to use a fuel can to fill the tank. In order to ensure a good flow of fuel,do not place the nozzle of the fuel can in direct contact with the flap of the misfuel prevention device and pour slowly.



Tr a v e l l i ng abroad

As Diesel fuel pump nozzles maybe different in other countries, the presence of the misfuel prevention device may make refuelling impossible.
Before travelling abroad, we recommend that you check withthe CITROËN dealer network, whether your vehicle is suitable for the fuel pumps in the country in which you want to travel.

Access

This tool will become available during the year. Be
fore refuelling using non-standard Diesel
fuel nozzles (present in some countries), a tool
allows
you to temporarily disable the misfuel prevention device.

Deactivation
The misfuel prevention device will be
activated the next time a standardnozzle is used.

Use
)
With the handle vertical, introduce the
tool into the filler neck as far as it will go.) Turn the tool a quar ter turn to the right or left.)
Remove the tool completely. )
Fill with fuel.
