has undergone extensive testing.
The loads associated with con-
tinuous operation were simulated
on specially designed test rigs,
while laboratory analyses provided
confirmation of material and
surface qualit y. The wheels were
then observed in dynamic driving
conditions. All of this was essential
to guarantee the best possible
combination of performance and
everyday practicality.

19-inch Sport Classic wheel with
the traditional styling of a Fuchs

edition development from Porsche

Central wheel locking device
retrofit kit
The central locking device was
engineered to facilitate fast wheel
changes on the racetrack. It also
reduces rotational masses on the
vehicle and improves steering and
turning responses. The locking
component is made from a high-
quality forged aluminium alloy, while
the central bolt has an anodised
titanium-coloured finish and features
a wheel centre cap with full- colour
Porsche Crest.

Carrera S Powerkit
The only alternative to power? Even
more power. This Powerkit for the
911 Carrera S, 911 Carrera 4S
and 911 Targa 4S with direct fuel
injection (DFI) features an exten -
sive redesign of the intake tract
from air filter to intake valve to
further enhance performance and
torque. The variable resonance
intake system with six switchable
valves is what makes a decisive contribution to this performance im
-
provement.
This intake system is
able to switch between power and
torque-opt imised
geometries for
all six intake
tracts, thanks to its
vacuum-controlled
switch valves.
As a result, the torque in the mid-
rev
range is increased, thereby en -
hancing mid-range acceleration.
The improved
combustion process
provided by DFI is also supported
by a flow-optimised
intake tract. Additional cooling
measures ensure
improved cooling. The finishing
touch is the air filter with its
twin-funnel air intakes and carbon-
fibre air filter housing upper section.
The result of all this development is
a responsive torque curve combined
with maximum engine power of
300 kW (408 hp). Additionally,
acceleration figures from
0 to
100 km/ h are reduced, for

example, from 4.7 to 4.6 seconds
in the case of the 911 Carrera S
with a manual gearbox. For the
911 Carrera S with PDK
1 and
SPORT PLUS but ton, they are
down
to an impressive 4.2 sec -
onds with the top speed increas -
ing by 5 km/ h to 307 km/ h
.
Also included in the Powerkit is a
sports exhaust system with specially
designed t win tailpipes engineered
for
optimum throughput. And the
sound of your 911 can be changed
at the touch of a button.
Benefits for the driver include in -
creased power over the entire
engine speed range. The car is
more responsive with a more
exhilarating sound. In other words:
even more driving pleasure.
